There's very little to refute... I would only suggest that the first two paradigms exist -- necessarily and implicitly in the third -- simply because every single market transaction is a subjective interpretation of value, imposed by the actor, who is, in turn, influenced by his perception of the universe. That perception is clearly going to be influenced by his status in society. Also, we must remember that none of these paradigms are mutually exclusive; believing that markets are relegated to financial transactions is a horrible trap to fall into. We make exchanges in every facet of our lives, based on relative subjective values. This seemingly irrefutable theory is the cornerstone of the Austrian school of economic thought, and dovetails flawlessly with the Popperian notions of subjective perception.

Deregulation didn't get us into this mess. Governmental borrowing and artificial demand got us into this mess. If you don't understand what happens to demand when the government facilitates leverage, then you're not arguing from a position of strength. Healthcare, housing, and tuition are prime examples of how artificial demand distorts the economy.

Woman steals perfume, then bites security Woman accused of stealing perfume, biting security guard at Colonial Park Mall A Harrisburg, Pa., woman is accused of stealing perfume from the Sears store in the Colonial Park Mall in Lower Paxton Township and biting a security guard who tried to stop her Friday, police said. Karla Brushell, 36, of the 1800 block of Forster Street, was apprehended after she locked herself in her car in the More..parking lot and was surrounded by Sears' loss prevention staff, police said. The security guard she's accused of biting was treated by Southcentral emergency medical services personnel. Brushell was arraigned at Dauphin County Night Court and taken to prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.

The most terrifying thing I've ever faced. Even though I knew the evidence was so strongly in my favor, it was amazing what the courts tolerated from her. It was like getting hit in the head over, and over, and over. The allegations were the stuff of fiction, and yet here I was having to prove myself worthy to have a relationship with my daughter. For six months, I did nothing but research and collection. It was a gargantuan task, but it paid off. It's still surreal to me: just a couple of phone calls and a few accusations, and anyone can destroy a person's life and reputation.
