"Why have you chosen to give up free an fair trade with the EU?"

Due to the nature of the political construct that came into existence post Maastricht Treaty.

"(I seriously fear for your sanity... please seek help"

Sorry. That is just an assertion.

Look, we can all play that games. Your about to try and run all the same arguments for Scottish independence as leavers did for leaving the EU.

That's called hypocrisy, but good luck with that.

Draw a line in the sand, the past is the past and for the benefit of us all the future must be united.

We are leaving, that is true, but this country stands for so much more than leave vs remain.

We should raise above the past an seek to be a beckon of what the future might hold, free trade and fair trade, that's all we ask.

If they fail to cut a deal it will just make the EU look even more incompetent and probably tip the whole Euro zone into recession.

They also showed their true colours over Brexit by blocking every iteration of it including May's deal which was effectively a Labour Brexit.

Even life long Labour voters knew they couldn't be trusted to deliver Brexit, they were constantly trying to find new excuses to sit on the fence and keep metropolitan Remainers happy. In the end northern Labour voters got so fed up with the fence sitting that they decided to sort the problem out once and for all, and get rid of Corbyn who no one likes.

It seems to be standard practice, just look at what's going on with the Sussex's at the moment.

I wonder if it has occurred to him that by playing that particular card he is effectively accusing his fellow Labour MPs of being a bunch of racists?

Its not a good look at all, maybe he hopes a few MPs will back him just to stop that particular own goal this week.

If he fails to make the cut I'm sure Clive will put that down to racism rather than his unpopularity.

Not yet, she's still trying to find a new solicitor after the last one battered a fox to death wearing a kimono.

You are correct in you're assertion, it should be waved through but you can still see Major and co trying to amend it.

My concern is more to do with going off on tangents. The whole new Ofsted framework is about linking learning from KS1 to 5 with threads being developed and continuity from pre school to junior school, junior to secondary, secondary to employment or 6th form.

Its not about preventing in depth teaching, after all schools junior schools will still be judged on Maths and English. The issue that has arisen however is this has been to the detriment of all other strands of the border curriculum.

Academies and free schools could previously opt out of the national curriculum and this is an attempt by Ofsted to force them back into delivering some of the content again otherwise they will fail Ofsted.

I'd be interested to know how you plan to personalise education when the current Progress 8 measure is more restrictive than anything we've seen in twenty years. If your view of how education should go is basically kids sat in front of computers learning whatever they fancy that day then I would suggest its nice in theory but won't work in practice.

Call me old fashioned but the Government should fund the system and indicate policy direction, preferably not altering course more than once every 5 - 10 years.
The DfE should implement policy and ensure with Ofqual that standards are up held and frameworks are in place.
Ofsted should assess learning and performance of schools.
Schools should get on with teaching and stop all the job creep, distraction arising from community links, parental sway on the curriculum, every other short term drive to plug the gap left from poor parenting.
Parents should ensure their children are prepared for school and support the staff in regards to behavior and attendance.

If the above happens then the rest looks after itself.
