Skylab was 84 x 22 feet (and it's widest points). It was, however, mostly hollow and had SIGNIFICANTLY less mass than an asteroid. If I were to throw a roll of paper towels at you that's a foot long at you and then throw a rock that's 10' x 10' at you, which one cause more damage to your body?

Pet Smart allows animals inside... obviously. I would expect to see pets in there. Home Depot, however, is one of the stores that has banned dogs except for service dogs, so you might want to rethink that. For your many years of training and obvious respect of appropriate and inappropriate times to have your dog with you, you get a thumbs-up from me.

At 5 months old, the dog has not been fully trained. Professional Service It typically takes 18 to 24 months to train an assistance dog. This was simply her pet that she wanted to take with her on the bus. Plain and simple.

Hello burnnotice, Without saying exactly what I do, I will tell you that I actually have a LOT of experience with people with serious mental illness. Even with that experience, however, I believe that taking a companion pet with you is neither necessary nor appropriate in most situations. If a mentally ill person reacts well to having a companion pet, that's fantastic, but the companion belongs at home. If the mentally ill person is not stable enough to go to Home Depot without their companion pet, maybe they shouldn't be using power tools. (It's an example only). All I am really trying to say is that people abuse the fact the some people have LEGITIMATE needs and have PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED dogs for those needs. This dog was obviously not trained to do it's job and did not belong in public places. If Ms. Williford had a professionally trained dog that was well behaved, this would have been a non-issue and none of us would have ever read this story.

I'm SO sick and tired of people wanting to take their pets with them to places, so they call them "service animals". I'm TOTALLY supportive of "Seeing Eye Dogs" for the blind, but these "companion" dogs and such are a joke. (Not that dogs can't be companions). Leave your pets at home or in the car, people! Take them to the park, to the river, on a car ride, on a walk... but they do NOT belong in stores, restaurants, etc. It's obvious which ones are REALLY service dogs... and which are just rude people taking their pets with them. -Signed, a dog owner and animal lover

What a waste of perfectly good medication that could be used by people who need it but are not fortunate enough to be able to afford it. Obviously, we don't want it in the hands of abusers, but I can't help but think there's a better option than to incinerate it all. :(

110% agreed!! It AMAZES me how poorly written and grammatically incorrect KATU's articles often are!! It's not every article... but it IS every day that I can find obvious errors. It's like a bunch of middle school kids are writing this stuff. Either that, or it is a sign of the times and how poorly educated our kids are coming out of school these days. Very disappointing to see this low quality of work from a major news station.
