Read between the lines. NBC has probably wanted to get rid of Olbermann for a long time, since his ratings have been so poor. They just found a way to get rid of him. Don't be so naive as to think NBC suddenly is enforcing some kind of journalistic neutrality ethic on show that is not politically neutral. That doesn't make any sense. Probably, he made it known that he'd sue them if they dumped him, so NBC needed to get rid of him another way.
