Artists tend to be romantics, but also control freaks. it's romantic to be a revolutionary, so artists are by default revolutionaries. revolutionaries are convinced they'l bring only freedom and goodness so they can deftly rationalize anything they do legal or illegal but what they bring 9 times out of 10 is "control" of economic life because a free commercial society seems on the surface so dizzyingly out of control.
