What I mean, is this section isn't much about the prayer as it is about doing things to attract attention to the supposed "Christian." Verse 2 says, "...do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets..." Verse 5 says, "... do not be like the hypocrites..." Verse 16 says, "...do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others..." So, is the main idea of this section about prayer? Or about doing things to be noticed?

There may be some from the religious right who are off mark. But the way I see it, the problem isn't the woman who uses the ladies room with an Adam's Apple. This has gone on for years with no issue. It is the pervert who thinks that it is easy to use this as a loophole. When you see things like this in the news, ask yourself this: Why is this important now? And remember, it is an election year. Politicians, activists and lobbyists are trying to use this issue as a platform for votes.

Both side have a right to free expression. But those who are organizing these said protests often use words such as acceptance and tolerance. If you are protesting, how is that acceptance of someone else's expression? If you are protesting, how is that tolerance? Acceptance and tolerance is a two way street. My recent post Justice? I've heard it said, that if you don't support same-sex marriage, then don't get one. The same can be said about Chic-Fil-A... if you don't like what they stand for, then don't support their business. What about the groups, like HRC that are spreading non-tolerance and non-acceptance of Chic-Fil-A by protesting their stores? Why doesn't anyone talk about the bigotry there? If it was that simple, you could say so. But, it isn't that simple. Life isn't that simple. But the original post was about protection, not starting a war... but, if someone were threatening you with a gun, and I had a gun too... you should have confront that even I would protect you.

I dunno who "The Chaplain" is, or how he can back that statement up. But one thing that strikes me as odd is that his statement hints at doing nothing and letting God do all the work. LAZY... I think what is taken out of context is the ideal ( or meme) that God will protect us like a security guard. Is that how the Bible says He will protect a Christian? I cannot find it. Maybe someone can point it out to me. Guns are vital to freedom. But they have their place and time... Not procreating... But parental birthrights.. A father's rights. A woman can up and leave if she has not been married to the father. Adoption papers stop this. Divorce papers stop this. But without a marriage... the child loses a father.

I only post in here but rarely. I try not to quote the Bible/God or even hint at it. I only try to open discussion so that I can learn or others can learn. I don't hate anyone. I haven't called anyone names. And, I don't think homosexuals are second class anything. Almost every one that I have met has been more reliable and harder workers than other people. Try this. Find any law enforcement officer. Give him this situation... a woman and her child move out of state. Ah, The tax breaks benefit. 1) I don't know where your numbers come from without seeing your numbers. And, being that they are personal, I don't need to. But, I wonder how you got your numbers. Two people filing jointly should be in a higher tax bracket than filing separately. 2) There are different ways to own a house on paper. Look into a thing called "Rights of Suvivorship." Basically, instead of saying You AND I own this house, it says that You OR I own this house. I know a man who owns his house with his mom this way - NO MARRIAGE CERT NEEDED. 3) You got me on this one. But, it is a law from the times when women could not work. It was to step in and take care of a man's wife in the event that he died. This law needs to be abolished because Social Security was meant for retirement and this law has become outdated.
