Oriri Draco Design : Sometimes There Are Days...

Thank you, Ashley! <3 I'm really glad you liked the handwriting part - wasn't sure if it'd come across like it did, or if it'd come across as just messy! The idea (right now) is a bit like PostSecret of sorts, minus the secret part. A bit of a gradual collection of thoughts in image form... as a way to draw more and write more. Sometimes words are not enough and sometimes art is not quite enough, if that makes sense? Thank you so much - it's a comfort/relief to know that the feeling made it across, and that it wasn't just a hairbrained idea of mine. <3

daughter hen (emily) - that means a hell of a lot more than I can find words to describe coming from you. I admire YOU for everything you\\\'ve been through and how you\\\'ve come out stronger and smarter and beautiful and funny and still loving life, even though you\\\'re dealing with things that many others would sit down and quit over. <3 <3 Love you. -mommahen

Oriri Draco Design : If You Could Create YOUR Perfect Website Design...

Okay, both your domain site and blog are beautiful!! Easy to read but still decorative enough that it's fun to look for details. <3 I know what you mean about not finding too many people to talk about design who actually understand the elements, so if you ever want to chat, I'd LOVE to! Be it bouncing ideas off of, "does this look crazy" or just chit chat - be more than happy to talk shop with you! I already respect you as an artist for your 3D work and fractals, so getting to talk webdesign would just rock!

Thanks! I actually got your email - I have NO idea why emails are returning bounced messages when they are actually going through. Tried to adjust a few settings, and sending myself emails... but still working on figuring out why! Hopefully this new set of settings stops sending those dadgum false bounce emails! Off to go read your email a few times over and then see what other questions come up! ;)

LOL! Well, pretty is possible! Couple of questions though, if you don't mind! (Okay, maybe more than a couple - and if you aren't sure of the answer to some, that's okay too!) Did you know what kind of backend you were going to be using? (It makes a difference!) Blogger? WordPress? If this was going to be a shop, were you going to use a shopping cart system like ZenCart? Or were you thinking more gallery and/or blog, with links to, say, an Etsy shop where people could buy the patterns? Or are the patterns free, and you had wanted one page per pattern, with the whole pattern written out there? What kind of structure for the site were you thinking about? Throw whatever you had in mind out, and we'll go from there! Regarding clean - were you thinking minimalist? Did you want a fancier header image, the kind with pictures and such maybe, or more "just text"? If not black background, what other colors do you like best? Is black with white text okay, or was the white body non-negotiable? If so, can the background color be a color other than black? If you really want the white body/black background, do you have any examples of it being done in ways you like? Also - what font(s) were you going to use for the patterns? If you don't have a specific one - do you know if it's serif or sans serif? Hopefully this wasn't too much!

Oriri Draco Design : Something Uniquely Ours

Oh my gosh, Just So Stories... the memories! How The Elephant Got His Trunk was my all time favorite when I was a kid. (Even played the Elephant's Child in a class play. Wow, it's been a while since I thought about that!!) We had these tapes of James Earl Jones reading all of the Just So Stories when i was a child and I can still remember him reading How the Rhinoceros Got His Skin. And the Grey Green Limpopo River... Wow, talk about memories. They are such wonderful stories, aren't they? <3
