while I'd like to think that everyone I've ever worked with will remember me, I will always write a little reminder of why I would know someone and also ask them to connect, I also think it would be insulting to NOT include a note, as if I don't have time for that person...
Interestingly, I was advised NOT to put a photo on Linkedin by a senior HR advisor. Based on a bespoke company survey that was carried out at both external and internal training sessions over a period of months, they found that people were more likely to make a judgement based soley on the image, and, even if the profile and details didn't match, they would justify those they favoured visually..
I like to put a bouquet in the guest room and bathroom, leave a space in the closet of the guest room with plenty of hangers, set out the kind of toiletries that hotels provide in case my guest forgot something, set out a serving of juice or a snack, 2 towels & a washcloth, extra blanket(s), and fragrance the whole house & especially the guest room with incense or a citrus oil spray.
