So you're mad at the guy for making racist remarks. That doesn't justify you badmouthing people with mental disabilities, nor people who are disabled and have to rely on SSI. And btw, SSI checks come on the 1st, it's SSD that comes on the 3rd. And the Pollock remark??? Whatever...

Get real... This is a first grader, the last day of school before winter break, probably excited about Christmas. It's hard for a 6 yr old to control his or her excitement. There are other ways to discipline kids in such a case, but spanking or taping the mouth shut is way out of line. But the bottom line is - she's a first grader, and as I said, probably excited about the Christmas / winter break. I taught kindergarten to 4th grade for years, I know how kids are when they are excited, and I would NEVER have done something like this. Moving an overly-excited and/or disruptive child off to the side away from the other students gives the child a chance to calm his- or her- self down, and creates a win-win situation.
