If I recall correctly, the mods removed the downvote button because, I quote:

"Completely factual statements have been downvoted to hell simply because people don't like them. So we removed the downvote button. If a child is abusing their toy, you take it away from them."

Can't imagine why they brought it back. That was pretty sound logic.

It's nice to see more gryphons in the world. Considering that they were competing in the Equestria games, and all three of them were gryphons, thereby most likely representing a gryphon town... THERE'S A TOWN OF GRYPHONS IN EQUESTRIA? I want to see this!

The jokes in this episode were really funny. I cracked up at most of the skits with Fluttershy and Bulk Biceps, especially the one where she got stuck inbetween his traps. That was hilarious.

And yes, everypony's favorite mailmare has returned, derp eyes intact. Looks like DHX finally stuck their middle finger to those soccer moms. :)

Trenderhoof probably will be a stallion.

Lesbians are bad for kid's shows due to how the market works.

There is probably a 0% chance that young children will even see this when watching it.

He's on-screen for literally FOUR FRAMES. That's 1/6th of a second. He's pretty much impossible to see, considering that the viewer's attention is more likely focused on the blurred colorball that Pinkie and AJ turned into for that time. The video must be paused to see him.

Thus, it's an easter egg only for mature fans who actually watch this stuff on Youtube or a media player where they can pause at a precise time. :P

Besides, most of the kids around my neighborhood know who Slendy is. I dressed up as him for Halloween and EVERY SINGLE ONE knew who I was dressed as. They say he's a creepy monster guy who's chasing you in the videogame Slender. They're aware he's not real, and aren't really scared of him. I think you guys are making mountains out of molehills.

I didn't like Hearts as Strong as Horses because the chorus was the same line repeated four times. I don't like songs that do that. I think it's lazy. Protip composers: NEVER repeat the same line twice in a row. Ever. Never ever.

This is the same reason I hate "Say What'cha Need to Say" OH JESUS FUCKING CHRIST THIS SONG IS AWFUL THIS WAS THE ONLY GODDAMN LYRIC FOR FOUR MINUTES

Apples to the Core definitely had superior construction. :3

The wagon swaying to the beat added a LOT to the song. It accentuated the bounciness of it and made it that much more fun. I'm sure I'm not the only who was swaying with it while listening. :3

Not to mention the song itself has remarkable composition. Source material and lyrics aside, THIS is music. The melody, chord progression, all the musical theory stuff is what makes it truly good.

This is real music, from a critical perspective. Not that shit we commonly hear on the radio nowadays.

That aside, songs in Applejack episodes seem to always be my favorite songs in this series. They're just so bouncy and full of spirit and creativity. The juxtaposition of the drum set and the fiddle creates an interesting effect that boosts the appeal of the song.

A great amount of additional characterization, an EXCELLENT and sweet moral, an unbelievably catchy song, lots of great faces, and an incredible balance of drama and comedy.

This episode... is the first one of S4 that honestly feels like it belongs in S1. Good show, DHX. I seriously cannot find an actual flaw within this episode. Everything was nailed excellently.

Rating: 100/100

Heh heh heh, nice. It's great to see that they gave another nod to the fandom. :)

There is nothing wrong with tipping one's hat to their fans. I'm a little sick of all the idiots yelling "pandering!!1!" They obviously don't know what that word actually means.
