Someone last week was holding veterans care out as an example of how good the government run health care system was going to be. How if it was good enough for our troops, yada, yada, yada . . . . Any of our soldiers on the site get sent back to do a recovery at Walter Reed? Want to teach folks how to reply to such statements? It is not my purpose to toss the whole VA system under a bus, but I think it would be informative to have those vets using the system tell us all what the heath care of this country would look like under government control.

All I know is if Iran gains the weapon on BO's watch, and uses it because of his pathetically week stance on its use . . Israel will be lost, and that blood will forever be on his hands. This will be no different than Hitler . . the Jews will be taken to the edge of extinction as a people again because of the inaction of good men. The VERY LEAST we as a nation need to do is make it a matter of public policy . . any nuclear strike against us, or Israel, will be met by the nuclear destruction of Mecca and every other sacred site of Islam. These folks place Islam above Nation, so mutually assured destruction MUST be aimed at Islam to matter.

How about a very, very basic right. The right to assign a value to my own time. For every law that mandates wage or benefit that is passed, it has REMOVED MY RIGHT to negotiate my own time. Is not my own BODY, my own MIND, and my own TIME as basic and sacred a right as there is to defend?

I might or might not agree with her views when I discovered them, I however already respect her integrity. One of the few people in Washington that I have seen that was more concerned with doing her job well than with self promotion.

That is not really right. Someone said it and it made since. The TRUTH is this was not about race, it was about "class". Had that been some kid in the ghetto, Obama does not care. It was a well connected Harvard Professor, and part of OB's inner circle . .how dare some lowly blue collar guy challenge him. This was about the snobbery of the elitist class. Obama just wrapped his rationalization of it in the mask of racism. What I do know for a fact . . . . . if that professor had acted like a grown adult, simply polite, this never happens. A professor and responsible adult should understand that a cop has no choice but to INSURE he is who he says AND is NOT under duress or as an LEO he can not walk away. It was the cops responsibility to follow it through, period. Why do I think this is true . . Miami is FULL of snobs who think they are "better than" the mere peasants around them. I have seen the behavior that professor reportedly demonstrated hundreds of times. The black white thing made it a story . .but this was about "class" and "position".

To me . . we should have a little fun with each other. I have that cynical since of humor and raz all my GOOD friends. Doing less for a friend who is not lilly white would be an insult to them. The thing is respect. Respect is not found in hiding difference, it is found in excepting difference. My black friends have had a different life than I have . . I can learn from them, and they can learn some from me now and then. That is society, pooling our experiences together to grow and learn. It is why I detest liberals on this issue . . they are racist to the core to me. Superior and condescending. I would rather survive a cumbersome conversation where I talk with someone and find out what I am getting wrong or right and LEARN and GET TO KNOW who I am talking to than talk AT a whole class of people telling "them" they are different and "incapable" and I am there to save the day . . . please. LoL I barley have my own life and family in order. ((-; Race issues survive because of a government that keeps fanning the flames for power, and we are slowly getting past some of it in spite of the government. Like all things, get government out of the way and get folks together and we all start working together and earning each others admiration and respect. It is an a natural result of interaction. Any of us spend time with new folks and the predictable outcome is we will detest and be detested by a few, tolerate a few, and truly befriend a few. Thats just life. (-;

Hmmmm . . . .whats to tell? Not much. LoL I am 48, born and raised in Miami, a little time in the Marines, divorced with 3 great grown kids I am very proud of. Over the years I have always debated with myself weather I am a liberal or a conservative. As I have gotten older I have come to the conclusion that is a good sign. It means I am thinking for myself and not folding into a set dogma of a political system. Lol Saw some bad people when I was younger and it shaped my views on power a lot. When I think about this stuff, I just insert those "personalities" into a congressional seat. As soon as I do, what I see is logical. I tend to think about liberty to decide morals when thinking government, and moral conversations and pressure when talking civilian society. Better to have "moral" shortcomings to be debated than a iron fisted government that crushes debate and dictates morals. You can bet money those morals will be bad, and if you look around, even now, they usually are questionable at best. (-; Governments only moral value is "more power". (-; That is the whole point of our constitution and to me, this movement at its heart. What do I do? Sales. Work all the time, don't slow down and enjoy enough. Ride some, enjoy my camera, and enjoy most people in general. Fish a bit when time and life allows. Have a grand daughter on the way any day now. I suppose this is about as involved as I have ever been in politics. Just seems to me we need to make a choice as a nation. Will we rule ourselves, or knell before a powerful "care taker" government. Even the trolls on this board have no idea what they are asking for. When they see it for real, they will be soooooo disappointed. But . . the "debate" is timeless. Always will be. Do you trust the people to maintain a civilized society? Or, do you dictate what civilized society will be allowed. Neither is 'perfect", but histories shows us that when the people do it it is "better". (-;

In fact, expand that point . . . and dont get me wrong, I am very proud of my "service". But it was exactly that, service and a temporary suspension & sacrifice of my rights as an American citizen. Every part of my life was at the total desecration of the government. The military as a whole is the largest example of "socialism" in practice within the United States. Even if you never had to fire a weapon, I wander how man civilians would volunteer to live within that system for LIFE? No options, no way out . . . FOR LIFE. If not, why not? Your fed, you housed, you have medical care, you work . . . it is everything the liberals say will make life euphoric isn't it? Yet liberals who HATE that system fight to expand it to civilians and impose it on every citizen of this country every day . . . never have been able to wrap my mind around the total lack of logic in that. (-; Heck, half the reason I have "pride" in my service is the fact I SURVIVED IT! LoL
