In essence, the entire apparatus of 'Blairism' would need to be dismantled, which, for a very long time, far too many within the Conservative party have sought to emulate with ill-judged admiration. Frankly, I doubt whether there is either the capacity or resolve even to embark upon this at any level, but it would be a very welcome development.

And tell our voters where they can go shove their concerns because we love our blind loyalty to ourselves -- brilliant, inspired thinking?

You should follow Cummings lead, and get out more, perhaps?

Or, perhaps, they don't find the double-standards to their taste? And anticipate that some voters might take a similar view?

So Dominic Cummings' role in the EU referendum of 2016 (and, as others suggest, in the 2019 general election) is justification alone for whatever action he chooses to take -- presumably until Brexit is delivered, or perhaps beyond?

I can assure you that it is not just lefty journos and pro-Remain conspirators who are aghast at the stench from the double-standards of this man's actions. It is depressing to witness the inability of the party's leadership to see the damage that this episode is causing to our standing with our voters, including amongst those of us who voted to leave the EU. Perhaps your MP is a better judge of the public mood than you assume...?

...and until he does, the Prime Minister, the Government and the party will continue to bleed credibility.
