Like I posted yesterday...A "REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER LIVES HERE" sign or a "Lawn treated with deadly chemicals" (with lots of skulls and crossbones all over it) will keep kids and dogs out of your yards!!! Also, good fences make good neighbors....Good fences with big dogs behind them make even better neighbors!!! At this point in time, I believe that the parents, the kids and the homeowner have learned lessons far greater than any school could have taught. Let's put it to rest and get on with life!
I hate taxes just as much the next guy but I might trade my $5,000.00 property tax bill and the big check I wrote to the State of Oregon in April for something I had more control over. I don't submit myself to any of the "fool taxes" such as the lottery, OLCC or the cigarette companies. If food wasn't covered by a sales tax, I'd come out way ahead with a sales or consumption tax over what I pay now. But that's just my case. It would have to be etched in stone that the income and property taxes would vanish forever before I believed the Guvna that a sales tax would be more equitable than the other two taxes.
I wish I could find it on the net right now...but I can't. Maybe you can??? There was a major media interview with Bill Clinton within the last two years where the spokesperson asks him, "What was your biggest regret as President"? He doesn't flinch when he replies, "NAFTA". Then he goes on to explain that everything that he was promised about NAFTA helping the US, completely backfired. Please find that interview and post a link to it!!! I'll keep looking, too. That being said...Clinton signed NAFTA...So why can't someone else UN-sign NAFTA??? Hey Barrack!!!!!!!!

I wonder then what he was trying to do??? Invite them out for dinner??? Test the airbags on the police car??? Turn in the stolen car in person??? Do a crash test dummy impersonation??? What WAS he trying to accomplish while ramming the police car???
Did these two even try to provide first aid to the victim???? Or did they just let her die while they planned their escape???
A true traffic "accident" hurts everyone involved because no one has control of the situation. The case at hand reportedly involves voluntary alcohol consumption, a decision to drive, a lousier decision to continue driving, a terrible crash AND the CONSCIOUS, VOLUNTARY, CULPABLE decision to leave the scene and, then, spend weeks covering up the crash and fleeing the area. Maybe the crash wasn't planned but everything else this flock of flockers did was!!!
