WPRI.com | Eyewitness News : Man reports car damage, gets arrested for DUI | WPRI.com

Sorta wondering how exactly they could even do a DUI since he wasn't driving, Unless he left the car running and the keys in it. And even that's a stretch. At most it should be public intoxication. But Hey!! Its RI where they make the rules work for them.

WPRI.com | Eyewitness News : Maine man finds knife in son\'s birthday cake

Seriously? Someone noticed the knife and pointed it out.. But he was so melodramatic that he spoiled his kids party... rather then just removing it and say "Party on" Deal with the legalities later. Nope... Sunshine here would rather have it all about him and how it all ruined his life in front of his son, Who didnt know anything about this. No one injested the knife, No one was served the knife, Even if someone was served the knife, they couldnt have injested the knife. Another useless court case looking for money for nothing. Your kids birthday party wouldnt be ruined if it wasn't for you. Sorry to say.

One word. Tanglefoot. The name is the reason. Apply it to the roof, and the birds wont roost there. Its a gooie safe substance and birds dont like their feet sticky. Google Tanglefoot Bird repelant and you'll find a cheap way to get rid of your (any )bird problem.

WPRI.com | Eyewitness News : Call For Action | Proposed tax on sugary drinks | WPRI.com

I've got a major problem with this bill. Besides the obvious fact that this is just another lawmaker trying to get fat on a taxpayer who already is overtaxed. This is a law that flies into the face of a lot of people who aren't "fat". Im Sorry, But thats the truth. We Rhode Islanders are already being charged a 8% tax when we go out to eat and that tax also includes an 8% tax on every drink you have. If you buy food and order a drink to go with it, your entire bill gets an 8% food and beverage tax. I order my food first and tab out then order my tax free drinks there after, But for some fat lawmaker on the east side of Gano Street, walking her dog to say that I need to be taxed more based on what I consume.... Hun, Your not going to get any support from me. I've been an avid coca cola fan since I was 9, I am now 43 and still drink about a liter to two daily of the sugary concoctions you want to tax... But unlike yourself, I weight about as much as your dog. I weight 109 lbs. So your thinking of the sugars making you fat and need to tax it? Guess maybe we need to tax food at the market, Because you could use a diet.

Such a loss of life could have easily been prevented if they only looked into what caused all the deaths here in RI. Foam on the ceiling, Overcrowding, not enough exits, pyrotechnics aimed at the ceiling. My heart goes out to those involved in Brazil. At least you had the excuse of one exit only.. We had several, but it made no difference in either case.

I somehow seem to have a huge problem seeing either side of this stories fight. Eye for an eye. For christs (oh I cant use that word.. Might infuriate someone) Oh for goodness sake... He took another persons life due to greed of money, He should stand to face the real outcome of the crime. Maybe if they just streamlined the death penalty more.. oh say.. Conviction to injection.... Maybe.. You know.. Just maybe, more people would think about how wrong the things they are about to do and what those results are. Sure.. RI doesnt have a death penalty, But then agian RI never agreed to the government taxing its residents... Have you stopped paying your taxes yet? Didnt think so.

Paul DeRoche, Really? Seriously Really? Do you need to see the last threads pulled out from under RI workers feet? Doesn't tradition of a holiday fit in your life? Do you not understand what it means to take a day that the rest of the country mostly honors, and spend it with your family. Or are you so self conceited that you cant simply wait till tommorow to go your new gadget. Personally I feel sorry having to go someplace to find something open and some poor person there behind the counter when they really should be with family. But thats something as simple as a pack of cigs... Not a TV that will be there tommorow.

WPRI.com | Eyewitness News : \'Smart keys\' may pose deadly danger | Call 12 for Action | WPRI.com

Most cars do NOT have a Keyless Ignition system either. Yes, Lets add carbon monoxide detectors to every car. You dont need a spare tire in a car anymore cause of the extra weight of a jack and tire Etc. So why not confirm their shedding of the extra weight by replacing it with more monitors. I think thats exactly why the car makers are eliminating spare tires... To allow more monitors.... Not to let the car meet new standards for fuel economy. Technoligy is already in the car, Its simple to combine it. My strip is your pad. Adding a strip/pad to the rear wont add to the weight of the vehicle since there would be a little less foam in the seat, Besides, that strip/pad is also in the drivers seat already.

The wife/Hubby comes home, tosses their jacket/purse/whatever on the chair and in doing so it presses the button to start the car, Just having a warning on leaving the car isnt the answer. Having a timer knowing when its started and not seeing any passengers in any seats.. that it needs to shut off automatically after X amounts of minutes. Thats a good start to the answer. Cars already know when theres someone sitting in a seat, theres a strip in that seat already to tell you that that persons seatbelts not attached. Just merge the technoligy.

S'ok... National grid wants to raise rates once agian to cover "rising energy costs". Last time I checked, Natual gas has been at very low rates, Which most power plants use. Well Sans the coal plant next to fall river and a few nuke plants.
