I loved the book too, and didn't go back to the movie after reading it (okay, maybe because the puppets really freaked me out with their puppet movements). I read it a few years ago though, so can I ask what part you were referring to? I honestly can't remember how it ends (sorry). I do remember they left out the lion and desert, spider, alot with the werewolf.... and a tower of sorts?
I do remember what I felt at the end but can't exactly remember what it was. It was unput-down-able though, even the English version.

No pony shirts in my country... Very little pony-anything, actually.

I was really surprised to find a pinkie pie at build a bear in my country (South Africa). We usually don't get anything. They had two left and couldn't import more and said that all the rainbows and other pinkies had sold out in a month... I was so excited I bought her. Having never been to build a bear before, I was shocked by the process of making her and the quality of the plushies. They're very strong, huggable and huge! Pretty happy with her. If twilight ever makes her way down here and I recover from buying pinkie, I'd definitely consider getting her. The photos, even of pinkie, don't do them justice.
