Oh, no. This is worse for some people than Derpygate. I personally don't care, but I could see people legitimately leaving the fandom over this. The butthurt shall flow, my friend. It shall flow in rivers.

FOX ran a piece on the Brony community that was...less than complimentary. I can't recall the terminology used exactly, but I think they used the phrase "manchildren". Or was that "baby-men"? Either way, definitely not unbiased, and certainly not portraying us in a positive light. It was back when this fandom was just getting started, too, so people still didn't understand that we just watch the show because we enjoy the show. If you end up watching the documentary, they show some clips in the opening sequence.

Believe me, I think politics and Poni shouldn't mix, because we're about accepting differences rather than criticizing them, and also because watching fifty year old men in suits talk about this is starting to get embarrassing to watch.

Before I got into this fandom, I scoured the darkest reaches of the internet, from YouTube to 4chan to Myspace and all places in between. Memes were my _thing_, And I consider it my duty, nay, my PRIVILEGE, to share what I know with my fellow explorers of this system of tubes.

In short, just performing a public service. No politics intended. And certainly no need to thank me, citizen.
