Where are the British on this? in the 1980s they went to war with Argentina over a small group of islands where the main form of employment was sheep farming. Well he might try...There's a little something called the second amendment that might stand in his way. Few if any gun owners in America are going to allow the government to walk in and take their weapons without a fight. The military is unlikely to help him and even if they do, it will only result in a second civil war. I doubt we will need to worry about that though.
