/Film : Geek Deal: Boston Legal Seasons 1-4 for $80; Disney/Pixar/Miramax Sale

I got in on the Amazon deal last night and got the Pirates trilogy, the Kill Bills and The Prestige for about 80 bucks. Unfortunately, they have since increased all the prices by about 5 dollars, so it's not that great of a deal anymore.

I'm with you man. I'm returning my US copy and importing the Swedish blu-ray. It's 40 bucks after shipping, but it has the proper subs and has been confirmed to be region-free.

Dammit nevermind, it looks like they are just the special ones for deaf people, no substantial difference. This really irks me.

It looks like the blu-ray (and probably the dvd) has 3 different sets of English subtitles. Does anyone know (or may be able to confirm) if the right one is there, or what the differences are between the ones that are there?

/Film : This Week in DVD: Role Models, Milk, South Park (Season 12), Transporter 3, and More

Wow, do a little research next time so you don't sound like a complete moron. The Times of Harvey Milk was released in 1984 and won an Oscar. Saying that it was probably only released to profit off the movie is incredibly ignorant. Also, the fact that you think Milk was the best of the year yet haven't bothered to look up any information on the widely acclaimed documentary that preceded it shows just how much you do care about this 'extraordinary person.'

Man, the In Memoriam part is usually really powerful. Having Queen Latifah sing over it rather than having the person's iconic scenes or quotes really killed the emotion.

Eh, as much as I love Begins and TDK, I really don't want to see this go the way of the 90s Batman movies. I don't blame WB for wanting to capitalize on the franchise, but I just don't want to see it become a vicious cycle of rebooting franchises and then running them into the ground. Hopefully they make the right choices and keep putting out a quality product.
