Unfortunately, 'Defence of the Realm' is a job for the government. Indeed one of its three principal duties. Outsourcing it to minimum-wage RyanAir cabin crew just intrinsically feels like a bad idea. But I'm sure Michael O'Leary would be interested in your proposal. You know, sandwich and coffee, £5, false passport, £1000.

I'll put this down to a very short attention span on your part.

> more experienced.

Exactly - more experience of what an utter trainwreck your Tory Brexit is turning out to be.

Sadly, age seems to have little to do with wisdom - stupid young people become stupid old people. How else do you explain Con Home?

I think he meant 'starting to gain power within the Tory party' - the reason we are where we are now, both in terms of even having Brexit, and also its lamentable execution thanks to internal party power struggles. And stupidity, of course.

> I wonder if you'll accept the result this time

Yes. No reasonable person could not if Ref2 is sensibly constructed.

Also yes. There's this thing called 'freedom of expression', also 'democracy.'

[Don't start with the 'we had democracy in 2016' thing - that ship has sailed.]

> the same people who voted last time will vote this time.

Except for the large voting cohort of zimmers who have shuffled off to the great Wetherspoons in the sky, and the 16 YOs, horrified by a Brexit future, now eligible to vote, natch. Demographics is a bitch.

Or the Chuckle Brothers. Just as qualified to run the country.

Brexit Roulette... good game.

But I suspect the round would go straight through most of their heads without encountering any resistance.

Right... you don't think inequitable, onerous, impractical, hazardous and frankly unjusticiable legislation against a minority business group would be challenged in parliament? Half of 'em are lawyers and would know that is fundamentally wrong and a hugely dangerous precedent for parliament to set.

Yep, and equitable application is a key principle in jurisprudence.
