Have already asked this question and #a08 said it was a no-go as Redsn0w doesnt support iOS 6.x.x, however, after reading Saurik's article it appears to me redsn0w does support iOS 6.x.x.

So my question again, having SHSH blobs for iOS 6.0.1 saved via Cydia (redsn0w 0.9.15b3 verifies the blob: says all 6 blobs verified, APTicket is present and valid) can I restore my iP4 to iOS6.0.1 using redsn0w/?

Have an iPhone4 running 5.0.1 and would like to upgrade to 6.0.1 -as this is the only SHSH blob I have saved.
The SHSH blob is/was saved through Cydia.
When I use redsn0w 0.9.15b3 to verify the blob redsn0w says all 6 blobs verified, APTicket is present and valid.
Am able to generate a Restore/ stitched IPSW.
However, when I use iFaith 1.56 to verify the blob iFaith states APTicket does not look valid but I am able to make a Restore/ stitched IPSW via Sn0wbreeze.
Could somebody please advise if the Restore/ stitched IPSW is safe to use??

Ok, many thanks for the quick reply.
If I install Ultrasn0w will there be any additional battery drainage?

Guess my second option is to upgrade the baseband. As the iP4 is factory unlocked this shouldnt be a issue (actually, only used no-BB custom IPSW in order to avoid the error -1 in iTunes at the end when restoring) so which iOS is best at the moment - 5.0.1, 5.1 or 5.1.1?

Hi all,
Realise most Qs are about 3GS but have a quick iP4 question regarding signal bars after upgrading to iOS 5.0.1 JB:
Have a iP4, factory unlocked with baseband 02.10.04. Was on iOS 4.1, upgraded to iOS 5.0.1 using no-BB custom IPSW cooked with redsn0w.
Everything went flawless except the phone only shows 1 bar as signal strength. Seems to be working ok in all aspects.
Read somewhere this is only cosmetic??
Is there a fix for this cosmetic discrepancy?

Many thanks in advance

See my reply to your other post (3GS). Same things apply.

Just out of curiosity what are you trying to do? (aside from trying to start TSS)

Ok, thanks for clearing that up and that answers my question as to use the Absinthe tutorial.

On a side note, wonder why the i4s and iPad2 wording has been added to redsn0w when one is told it is not supported (after putting in DFU mode)?
The wording gave me the impression redsn0w would support/JB A5 iDevices.

OK???
When I start redsn0w 0.9.10b8b, under Jailbreak is states: iPhone4s and iPad2, please connect it in normal mode (iTunes mode) now.
So if redsn0w doesnt support A5 iDevices then why is above written in the program?

Hi,
One of my son's classmates has just got a FUL i4s on iOS5.0.1 for his birthday.
He would like it JB and as I have never JB i4s before (have done plenty of i4 with redsn0w), just wondering which is the best approach: using the Absinthe 0.4 tutorial from iClarified or using redsn0w 0.9.10b8b?
Have skimmed/scanned the last 30 pages without finding any clear answer.
