Sorry Kate but that is fanciful Tory Brexiteer nonsense & i say that as a 30 year Labour member & campaigner

Good speech from Jeremy Corbyn, it's obvious after #GE2017 there is no majority for a hard Brexit in the House Of Commons & definitely a majority for A Customs Union

For most Labour voters who voted leave Brexit is simply not their biggest issue, it's way down the ,list, i live in the North & i campaign all over for Labour, Labour voters care about the NHS,public services,Workers rights, local issues way before Brexit

Absolute NONSENSE Steve! Sorry but for most Labour voters who voted leave Brexit is simply not their biggest issue, it's way down the ,list, i live in the North & i campaign all over for Labour, Labour voters care about the NHS,public services,Workers rights, local issues way before Brexit so you are wrong 'lost nearly half the Labour vote' ~ what wishful thinking some of you Tories come up with

Corbyn again said today we are leaving the EU as we are leaving the single market & there is no majority for a gard Brexit after #GE2017 in the House of Commons, get used to it Steve!

Agreed & people that think it will only last 2 years are deluded

Theresa May was so unbelievably naive that she thought she could shaft the DUP on the Irish Sea Border but no chance they would ever change their minds on that as they fear it's a faster route to a United Ireland

May&her communications team are awful & it's different personnel but the same problem as what happened at the General Election, she is not politically savvy & now all this today is really just a holding position, it's nothing mich more than can kicking to avoid cabinet splits but they will come, it's shameful that she&her party are putting their party before the country, The EU are running rings around May,Davis&co as this was the week that cocky Tory arrogance, lies, grandstanding met brutal reality & god help them in the trade talks! they'll need it! EU have done so much planning but the Tories making it up as they go along literally

For me a Remainer & Labour member&campaigner for 30 years, the best deal we'd ever get is to stay in the EU but i'm pragmatic & accept Leave won the #EUref which was sadly mostly a pack of lies on both sides. I am just relieved that we don't now appear to be heading to 'no deal' which would have been catastrophic but i tell you this ~ much of the euphoria from May&her cabinet will soon where off as the devil is in the detail & it looks like a Soft Brexit where if we are to get the transition period we have to stay in the CU&SM & also won't leave the jurisdiction of the ECJ until 2027. Add to that at least £40bn divorce bill & it will be more ~ ahem The EU has run rings around Theresa May

Today feels much like just a holding position to get on to trade talks & remember the cabinet haven't even had ONE meeting together about what trade deal they want since Leave won the #EUref which is shocking to hear so anyone who thinks this is a done deal could be in for a shock, There are still questions to be answered about Northern Ireland & the DUP haven't budged on no Irish Sea Border, they won't either

The Tory MP hard Brexiteers appear to be keeping their powder dry for NOW, i suspect they'll wait till they hear Theresa May speak in the Commons on Monday & take it from there but it all feels like much has been kicked down the road to save face for May but the clock is still ticking & this phase was meant to be the easy one but it's taken since June 2016 just to get to this hmmm

Keir Starmer is turning into a formidable politician. The Tories have already agreed to his Transition period for Brexit, He's way ahead of that chancer David Davis
