Ah ok, I would say use WiFi because the service limits you when you connect to WAP and acts very odd. Hope you get it sorted.

I had to log in a few times to get it to stay logged in aswell. You connect via WAP? That charges us extra when we connect in the UK, it\\\'s either the providers internet or WiFi that we choose.

I sold my 5800 on and had to ring Nokia Customer Care to get them to release the 5800 from their systems so it could be registered on a new computer. Try ringing them and getting them to reset everything.

You have valid points there and this firmware should have probably been involved when the phone was released seeing as it is a flagship device. Not to worry as Nokia like keeping the good things til later on. Here\\\'s to hoping they sort out all the issues and everyone with an N97 will be happy.

The issue with the camera lens cover can be fixed by sending it back to them, they should replace the hardware.

Appreciate your comments John but bare in mind this post is from Dan. I understand your view but we always look at both scenarios when looking at releases.

I bought an N97 from the Carphone Warhouse (what a wrong decision that was for phone choice) and I am running 11.x on my N97. No update last time I checked the N97 but I got a horrid contract which Orange has promised to lower after 6 months. £45/month with 1200 mins and unlimited internet/texts. So I can probably say that most N97\\\'s from the CW are not running V10. Still, I despise my Nokia N97 at the minute and that\\\'s why it\\\'s hit eBay!

I agree on that one. €450 for a device that has not shown the consumers much promise is a bit pricey. I think their other announcements at Nokia World will overshadow this one.

Orange are not going to release the Nokia N97 on Orange because they have far too many faults, shame really but the N97 don\\\'t deserve to go to Orange really.

There is a firmware update scheduled for the middle of September so hopefully they will sort many of the problems. That\\\'s a good article, thanks for sharing it.
