Thank you! I always want to weep when people mention Yu-Gi-Oh. It's really terrible and silly compared to many others, and they're all pale imitations of MTG.

Well, of course Yu-gi-oh isn't enough. It's terrible! ;) If you like any CCG even a little, play MtG- it's light years beyond anything else in the genre, and started it all. It's not perfect- though many of its flaws are inherent to the CCG model- but it's a fantastic game overall.

That's foolishness. Not creating something does not mean you cannot be very well versed in what makes it good or bad. There is no logical reason to relate the two. Ever disliked a dish of food? Well, you aren't allowed to criticize unless you're a master chef. Ever heard a crappy band? Sorry, until you put out an album, better pretend they're great. Absurd.

Regardless of whether someone is a creator or not, they can be perfectly qualified to study something and make intelligent observations about it. In fact, there's a good chance their distance from the process will give them some objectivity that makes their observations better. A fellow creator might get caught up in sympathizing with the artist's intent, and frankly, that's irrelevant to how good or bad a finished product is. A good reviewer is only concerned with the quality of the result- as they should be, since that is what the vast majority of people reading reviews are interested in when deciding whether to spend their money and/or time on something.

If you thought about your position even a small amount, you'd see how silly it is. I say this as someone who is critical AND who creates; your position is just nonsense.

#2 is very fun. Would love a version with credits, since it feels so much like an anime opening. #1 and #3 both seemed decently edited but couldn't enjoy them due to the music.

I'm amazed people still listen to Skillet. I did back when I was, well, a believer for years... but man, their lyrics have gotten more and more cringe-worthy as time goes on, to where they're just so generic and lazy now. I'm not one of those people who hates Christian bands for being Christian bands, even though I'm no longer in any way a believer, but there are a LOT of those bands that are awful- but then again, there's lots of bands that are huge and awful, too. Then again, they just make disposable hard rock to try and convert teenagers, most of whom probably think Linkin Park is not terrible, so maybe I'm expecting too much.

EDIT: No offense intended to the creator of the video, I can't really comment on its quality since the song annoys me too much to watch it. Just expressing honest incredulity at Skillet's continued relevance.

The Big Bang Theory can never help anyone, ever. Unless it's part of an assisted suicide program.

Well, glad to see they aren't just going to disappear, though I'm trying not to get my hopes up for ever playing this game.

I hope other people will make the decision I did, and stop supporting Hasbro in any way financially as a result of their poor decision to do this. The oft-repeated lines about them having no choice due to laws about losing copyright are misinformed and false, so it IS a decision they made, one that could have been handled differently.

Of course it's within their rights legally, but I have heard and can see no justifiable moral, ethical or hell, even RATIONAL reason for this call- it seems mostly thoughtless and reflexive. It's convinced me they care not a whit about the fans; of course, they care a great deal about the fans' wallets. As a result, they'll never be getting in mine again, and every new merch post I see around here makes me a little bit more disgusted- I still like the show, but I can't find any pleasure in any crap Hasbro foists at us. My relationship with them has been changed, maybe irrevocably.

I wrote them to tell them I won't be buying anything with their name on it again, unless they come to their senses about it. I don't expect to change their minds, certainly not by myself, but maybe it'll matter if others tell them the same thing- and actually stand by it. Seeing all the new merch- show-accurate plushies, etc- indicates, to me, that they are serious about getting our money. That means NOT getting it is actually a significant threat to them. Think about that before you buy some random plush, shirt, or new trading cards. Think about it if you cared at all about this game, or if you care about ANY fan project.

Regardless, my decision was primarily about my integrity, not about making them change. I just don't feel right about giving a company money that would so carelessly bulldoze 2 years of work from some of their most dedicated fans. YMMV, of course. This whole situation is saddening, not least because the show represents a kind of positive escapism, and now that's been tainted with one of those things that makes the real world such a drag. Oh, well- nothing lasts forever.

Ha, figures, they finally release decent, official plushies right after I decide I'm personally never buying any of their crap again. I'd like something like this, but at the same time, thinking of buying anything from Hasbro just makes me feel used. I can't in good conscience buy anything from them with their continued antagonism of the fan community.

Oh, well. I'll live just fine without these, and have more money in my wallet besides. It's a relief- and, admittedly, a little satisfying in a nasty way- that Hasbro's actions alienated me before they could release their flood of crap to get my money. Well, more of it, anyway.

Nice troll post. The piracy debate is stupid. Buy it or don't watch. If you don't like the price, too bad. It isn't up to you. Pirating indie stuff makes you human garbage. There is no justification or excuse, and since you're just spoiled, entitled children, you aren't worth trying to argue with since if you had any decency or reasoning skills you wouldn't be arguing for it in the first place. All I can say is you make me disgusted and ashamed, and I pity any artist having to deal with your kind.
