There really haven't been that many pony related posts on this site yet... Not if you consider how much pony crossover there is.

I know all this pony stuff on the internet can be annoying at times, but that's no reason to hate on the material entirely.
You don't have to like the show, but hating it just because it's so popular (and for good reasons, if you took a closer look at it) is just immature.
Especially considering this site is entirely free for you. Don't complain about free content. Just ignore the parts you don't like.

Edit: As for the "X should be Y" debate, there really is no real answer for most of them. Applejack as Engie, Fluttershy as Medic, Rainbow Dash as Scout and Rarity as Spy are universally accepted, but the rest really depends on what characters you consider and how you map them. Pinkie Pie as Pyro is mostly for the pun, and I think Spike is actually a much better match (although he's not a pony and wouldnt need the suit and flamethrower).

I was expecting a line about taking a drink whenever the Kinect is mentioned.

Well brad, I'd say part is that for a series that is usually squarely aimed at little girls (to make them buy the toys), FiM delivers a lot more than it was expected to do.

Apart from the things you mentioned, there are also great characters, lots of little bits of humor that the target audience probably wouldnt even get, and a lot of other things.
For me personally, the best part is that it delivers those morals without coming of like they are talking down to the kids or tacking them on at the end without any real connection.

Also, Pinkie Pie is hilarious pretty much every second she's on screen.

What's worse, that bear is almost as expensive as the game itself. I don't mind digital items for purchase but most places charge way too much for everything.
