What a joke. Medical residents are essentially slaves. To become a doctor, they must work horrendous hours as a resident for what amounts to a pittance. You would look long and hard to find a resident that is allowed to work under 40 hours a week, with many double shifts, (with 3rd shift on call), many days without a break, and they put up with this or cannot become doctors. Most come out of medical school with over $100 grand in loans. If we want to worsen the coming shortage of doctors (thanks to Oblamacare), this is a good start!
