For those who have not heard of them: There is a bunch of crackpots who call themselves ExcatholicsforChrist. They have done with the cath. branch of religion and gone fundamentalist. In fact, it is amazing to hear their views on priests, cardinals and the pope. They take the bible literally and want to have creationsm taught in British schools. These are not your usual US mental cases but our very own home-grown. http://www.youtube.com/user/excatholics#p/a/D99CA... This video, entitled "You are not an atheist", promises you that after watching it you will revise your views. As rating and commenting on this particular dross have been blocked I wrote on their profile page. As expected they did not approve of what I had to say. Only favourable comments are allowed to stand. I'd love to know what they make of the Crumb edition.

This is a reply to myself. I am baffled. A long time ago I subscribed to comments under my first name. Then, when intensedebate took over, all of a sudden I could no longer log in, so I subscribed under the nickname I had in my school days. For the above comment , lo and behold, I posted as Rosemarie, and for the next comment it changed to Neuseline. I see the hand of god behind this strange happening.

As shargreaves said, the idiotic website is inaccessible. I think it may have been blocked by Google as a result of complaints. However, there is a YT video of their march earlier this year. I like the reference to "man-made laws" in the article. Ha. But what I really approve of is the prospect of a pot of gold coins for people to help themselves if they are needy. Sadly, I live abt. 60 miles from London, and by the time I got there, the pot would always be empty.

You have "outed" yourself a few times as an ex-evangelical. I think it is now time I come out of the closet. I was once a Christian. There, I have said it. From the age of 17, when I had myself secretly baptized, probably out of teenage rebellion against my atheist father, until my early 30s, when I came back to my senses, I occasionally went to church (German Protestant and Methodist). An interesting question presents itself: During those 15 years or so, was I fully human, as judged by Cormac Murphy-O'Connor? Pity it is such a long time ago that I cannot remember.

I must correct myself. I feel so silly. The person with the same name A Weber, who is listed on the Landoverbaptist website, is not J&M's creator (he shall remain anonymous), but of UK Wildlife. That's what happens when you sit hunched over your laptop at 2 o'clock in the morning, your head falls forward and you start to dream. My apologies to all concerned.

As the case of "Lady" Scotland has shown yet again, there is a law that the common (wo)man must obey and another for those who make the law that can be dismissed as an "oversight". Therefore, it seems reasonable to me to have a law that allows those of us who do not have a religion of any description to have assisted suicide, while those holier-than-thou Christians must suffer to the bitter end. Or make attempted suicide a capital offence where the "criminal" is given a deadly potion to drink.

There is one other group of people that should be banned from supermarkets nationwide. True, they rarely don their religious garb during the winter months, unless they have been abroad to practise their cult, but when they do put on their strange attire I avoid getting too close. Yes, you have guessed whom I mean: the Sun Worshippers. Supermarkets should have members of staff at the entrance handing out burqas and chadors for these strange men and women to wear if they wish to shop there.

My eyes glazed over trying to decypher all the jumbled letters that are supposed to be English words in most of the above comments. The lack of written vowels is the trademark of Arabic, but I could not make any sense in that language either. No more, ﻣﻦ ﻓﻀﻠﻚ , mn fdlk.
