Breitbart.com : Limbaugh: Checketts approached me

What a bunch of hypocrites. Most worrisome is a manufactured (dare I say "astroturf") campaign to keep Limbaugh from becoming (pardon the expression) "minority" owner of a really lousy football team. Even more worrisome is that many are gloating this happened to Limbaugh. If we keep tolerating garbage like this it won't be long before it's happening to all of us--not just high profile conservatives. Philosopher David Hume said liberty is seldom lost all at once, but rather bit by bit (Sept. 2009 Imprimis, P.3. See, unlike libs and the leftist media I source my quotes.)

Breitbart.com : Wall Street Journal surpasses USA Today as No. 1

WSJ is a great paper. Great national and international coverage. Creative, interesting writing. Conservative editorial page--yet it publishes commentaries submitted by liberals. Even the sports articles they write have a unique perspective. I learn more from one day of this newspaper that I do from months of liberal trash like USA Today. The other thing driving this great paper is under Murdoch's ownership they adopted a new subscription payment plan. Under the old owners you had to pay several hundred bucks up front to get it. The new ownership has set it up on a monthly payment plan to make it more affordable for those of us who aren't high flying Wall Street types. Bottom line--this is a newspaper that everyone should be reading.

Breitbart.com : President Barack Obama wins Nobel Peace Prize

Ira, Iraq, Afghanistan, Taliban, North Korea. Yes, the world is definitely a more peaceful place since Obama took office. Essentially the Nobel Committee gave him a pat on the back for trying. What a shameful gesture. By the way, I wonder what he'll do with the award money.

I don't want to go back to 1776. I'd just like to see my country survive until 2076 and not be spent into oblivion by people who seem to think the federal government has an endless supply of money.

Like to insult people, eh? You make it sound like that's all that health insurers do--deny coverage. That's bunk. I've had several family members whose financial well being was saved by their coverage when they had a medical crisis. Besides, an insurance company that denies claims all the time isn't going to stay in business very long.

Here's the real issue: Where's the money going to come from? And please don't tell me the plan will pay for itself or that by taxing the rich we'll get the money for this. Have you examined the two social medicine systems already in this country--Medicare and Medicaid? They're doing really well financially, aren't they?

What a freaking liar. If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. If you like your health insurance, you can keep it. I don't want to be in the business of running a car company (bank, etc--just insert your favorite big business of the day). Health care reform will result in costs savings that will help pay for it. I'm not going to raise your taxes. We've got to run up the deficit in the short term to save things in the long term. AARRRGGGHHHHH!!! I get so annoyed by this man's perpetual fibbing. It sounds like the old saying that if you repeat a lie often enough, people will eventually accept it as truth.

Breitbart.com : Democrats irked by Obama signing statement

We can only hope that enough Democrats will see his dangerous agenda for what it is and oppose him on it. The Republicans aren't capable of stopping him. If he gets his hastily crafted healthcare plan passed what's left of this once great economy will be ruined. There's just not enough money to pay for everything Obama wants to do. Think back to why the Soviet Union collapsed. One of the big reasons was out of control spending by the government. If we don't stop Obama and the liberals, the U.S. is headed the same way as the U.S.S.R.--down the economic toilet. For those of you who thought this man would govern as a centrist, boy were you delusional.

Yeah. Don't you just love the lame attempts Obama's economic cronies make at saying his policies have created x number of jobs. You can't calculate this stuff. By the way, what was the 345,000 jobs lost last month? Oh gee, the MSM says things are getting better. Not as many jobs lost. If Bush were still president, the state run media would be talking about how awful this is for days and days.

This administration has no intention of fixing things quickly--if at all. Why shoud they? As chief thug Rahm Emmanuel said you should never waste a good crisis to make changes that you otherwise would never be able to make. So here it all comes. Nationalization of the financial industry. Nationalization of GM. Healthcare "reform" with no thought for it's massive cost. A deficit in the trillions and and a federal debt load in the same price range. A federal budget of more than 3 trillion. If this is hope and change, this country is in deep, deep trouble.

Interest rate on government bonds goes up too. Skyrocketing deficit and massive bailouts are making it costlier for the government to borrow money. Reminds me of what's happening to the interest rates on my credit cards thanks to Obama's crackdown on credit card companies.

Absolutely right, Wendy. The Chrysler deal would put most of the ownership in the hands of Obama's buddies in Big Labor (55%). A proposed GM deal would give the feds a more than 50% ownership stake and a large stake would go to the UAW. This is absolutely nuts. In the American bankruptcy system, secured creditors are supposed to be first in line, but Obama has--once again--thwarted the laws of this nation and imposed his own sophomoric world view. We are indeed getting the "change" Obama promised, but there's no "hope" in this change.
