Well-Heeled, With a Mission : Live Like a Student

Being a student I know most of the tricks. However I had no idea how much money I was still wasting before I started to barter. Bartering will allow you to get new clothes, books, dvds, cellphones, computers etc. for "free". I signed up on barterquest.com because they would also allow you to trade services. So I offer my service as a dog walker (great exercise too, and you don't pay for a gym membership) and get whatever I like and need in return.

KVAL - Eugene, OR : Frugal Living: Live without buying anything new | Consumer | Eugene News, Weather, Sports, Breaking

I couldn't agree more. I find swapping a very convenient alternative to buying, as you get rid of your unused stuff and get things you really need in return. And you don't have to pay anything. Try barterquest.com.

Dumb Little Man : 30 Easy Ways to Save Money (and No, you are not doing them all!)

I suggest you sign up on barterquest.com. It allows you to trade goods and services too and can create double benefits. For example I offer my service as a dog walker (I love dogs) and get new clothes in return. It's a win-win situation.

WWLP 22News : The food swap: Food, fellowship and fun

I love the idea of swapping by person-to-person interaction, even though I've never done that. I guess it's just always been easier for me to barter online (I use barterquest.com) because it's just so convenient. I promise I will attend a swap someday though ;-)

I got laid off some time ago and was facing debts too. In order to bridge the difficult time, I started bartering. It's very simple, it's free and everybody can do it. I suggest http://www.barterquest.com
