This means that ANYONE who is in the states regardless of status, employment or legal entry will be able to obtain FREE healthcare. We do not provide health insurance to our one employee and we purchase our own and now our payroll cost is going to increase 4.75% and our employee is going to see his paycheck decline by 4.75% to pay for this gargbage!!!!!!!! Plus there will be a 5% tax on the top 5% income earners and a 10% tax on the top 1% earners. My husband and I aren't even close to the top 5 or 1% brackets but why are these groups supposed to pay for everything? I am so pissed right now I am almost ready to jump in my car and drive to D.C. tonight so I can drag Queen Pelosi to the nearest drug rehab since she is apparently overdosing on crack or something.
With so many issues to follow I had forgotten how mad I was the 1st time I read HR 676 which is the Natl Healthcare system (code for lets bankrupt the country ASAP). What really tees me off is the eligibility requirement!!! This is direct from the bill:
Every person living or visiting in the United States and the U.S. Territories would receive a United
States National Health Insurance Card and ID number once they enroll at the appropriate location. Social
Security numbers may not be used when assigning ID cards.
Why do we insist on making cultural and religious values part of government? No one likes the "liberals" trying to force their values on everyone or their attempts at social engineering so why is it ok for convservatives to do the same? Where in the Constitution does it have the authority to impose social, cultural or religious values on the people?
I am not saying you/we can't have these beliefs just that they do not belong in government.
I assume you are referring to slaves as the farm equipment. At what point does the country get to move past this?? For how long does a segment of society get to use this as an excuse for everything? How many times does America have to apologize for slavery? At what point does a person become responsible for their choices? There are plenty of people who have obstacles in their life and choose to find a solution.
To even talk openly about the issues automatically means I’ll be called a racist. I don’t go around saying I’m a German-American or White American I am an American. Yet we still have Black-American, African-American, Hispanic-American, Asian-American – you want racism to go away then stop with the labels. You want to be part of America then stop being separate – what is wrong with just being American????
What is it that makes people on this board racist? Am I racist because I believe that immigrants should learn to speak english? My german grandparents weren't coddled & given every little thing they wanted. They wanted TO BE AMERICAN and were grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this country. What is racist about wanting people to be independent and not dependent???
Why can only whites be racist but blacks and hispanics can never be racists? If you want racism to end then stop making skin color the reason for everything. I'm a white women and I have been passed for jobs sometimes because I'm a woman and sometimes because I'm just not the right person. So do do I blame everything on discrimination and allow others to hold be back or do I just move on?? I choose to move on.
Found this by doing a search on state unemployment rates: For the most part, state unemployment taxes are imposed directly on employers and you don't withhold these taxes from your employees' wages. Currently only two states, Alaska and New Jersey, also assess unemployment taxes on employees. If you happen to have employees in Alaska or New Jersey, you will also be withholding some unemployment taxes from your employees' wages. Federal unemployment is NEVER deducted from employee wages - it is paid by the employer. I have been involved with HR and accounting for over 20 years and so I am familiar with this issue.
If conservatives truly believe in minimal government and personal responsibility then why are unemployment payments okay? The vast majority of unemployment tax is paid by the employer only which in a company of 200 in colorado at 4.2% is approx. $91,000 per year. How many jobs could be created or saved with out this? How many when they get laid off wait until their unemployment runs out before they seriously look for work? If you have no savings why should govt i.e. all of us take care of you when you become unemployed? Harsh view I know but things have to change.
It is so easy to blame the schools for everything but why are schools supposed to do the job of parents? I see too many parents who model instant gratification and materialsim to their kids. It is not the schools job to teach ethics, morals and values - that is the job of parents. Teachers have a thankless job as parents of all types yell at them for trying to hold students accountable.
My husband and I so wanted to go to San Antonio but as business owners we just can not afford to shut down and drive from Colo to Tx. So we are helping with the Tea Party here in Loveland CO which is approx. 1 1/2 hrs from the Denver Capital where a large rally is planned.
