LilaLoa : 12 Days of Giving Extravaganza: Day Six

My 58 yr old sis-in-law entered the memory care unit at the nursing home this year. This is going to be a new opportunity for us. In years past, we helped strangers. This year we wanted to find a way to help not only the residents in the unit, but also show our apprection to the workers who are taking care of our loved ones. We are going to take cookies for the residence to decorate and then wrap for a gift to the family members. We will also be gifting already decorated ones to the wonderful healthcare workers.

LilaLoa : 12 Days of Giving: Day 12

My new obsession is COOKIES! I get sucked down this deep vortex whenever I see one. I am sooooooo inspired that I want to do EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM! Oh! So many cookie ideas! So little time! I have quickly found that a handheld mixer is NOT the way to go. With just a smidgen of luck, i could win THIS and it can add fuel to my new obsession. I am learning so much clicking around your sites. I was asked to do some tuttu cookies for a shower. I couldn't find any, so I tried to make one myself! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Now I know where to get my cookie cutters. Thanks and fingers, toes, eyes are crossed.

Design Happens : Freebie Friday: Table Runner Giveaway

As my dining room table is made a part of the main living area, being framed by a large arched opening, and is only enjoyed occasionally when graced by company, the table serves as a display surface for artful pieces Presently, a deeply tinted squared cobalt vase is filled with long silk grasses and over-sized leaves gracefully arching to one side which sits along side a giant glass bowl which is edged in cobalt fading into aqua blue at the center and 3 simple white porcelain bird votive holders that have recently joined the display.
