Definitely a fair point, but that&#039;s how Chevy has been promoting it. See here: <a href="http://www.winyourchevy.com/" target="_blank">http://www.winyourchevy.com/</a>

National Motorists Association Blog : How Much Do You Know About Your Tires?

I would also like to add information about the date coding that is molded on the tire. This will help consumers avoid new old stock tires and old tires on used cars that are not driven much. An RV magazine recently said to avoid tires 8 years old or older because they are more likely to fail even if they look good. I had a total of 5 go bad within a 2 year period on my motorhome. All looked very good with plenty of tread, but they were about 8 to 9 years old when they failed. If you are not familiar with date coding, a code of 3605 would be the 36th week of 2005. If you have a tire with the old 3 digit code, it is already over 10 years old. The codes are molded on one sidewall near the bead without any other letters or numbers within the molded area.
The data from Google is actually normalized, so the data is more useful than it might appear: <a href="http://www.google.com/support/insights/bin/answer.py?hl=en&amp;answer=87284" target="_blank">http://www.google.com/support/insights/bin/answer...</a>

National Motorists Association Blog : Why Did It Take Nearly 30 Years To Fix A Simple Speed Limit Sign?

We&#039;ve decided to moderate the comments a bit more actively by banning certain users who show a pattern of abusive posts that do not contribute to useful discussions about the articles posted on the site. Users will only be banned after multiple complaints from other users. Right now the only commenter that will be affected by this new policy is Randy100, who has been banned from commenting on the site. Let&#039;s keep the conversation friendly everybody. Keep the name calling and language in check. Disagreement is encouraged (it makes things more interesting) but personal attacks are not welcome here.
