Gyminee Blog : Ask Adam: How Often Should I Stretch?

Li_ I am not quite sure if Gyminee will let you log stretching, as it is usually not a typical strenuous exercise that could burn a large amount of calories. However, you can use the yoga exercise or search workout programs for stretching. Lisa, you are right. There are also several spelling mistakes in my post as well which I apologize for. I will see if I can get Gyminee to fix that as soon as possible.

Gyminee Blog : Don't Eat That!

I totally agree with you 100% Susan. However, I believe the purpose of the book is to have in your car in case you are in the situation where there is no alternative. Waffle House or Ihop? Burger King or McDonalds? I doubt any of those places will be selling oatmeal with 9 grams of fat. So my suggestion has always been: pack a lunch!

Gyminee Blog : Gym Sins

-When I worked at my gym I had the duty of opening the center every morning at 5:30am. There was this one man who came in every single day at opening who looked eerily similar to Larry David. Every morning he would be there until 9:30-10:00 in the morning working out. He would go around to every single machine, put tons and tons of weight on, and do one rep halfway and rerack it. Sometimes, he would lie on the machine for upwards of 30-45 minutes with his eyes closed. My first couple of days I got really nervous that he might never get up and just kneel over, but right before I would go up to shake him he would wake up, stretch, and move on to the next machine. Eventually he became somewhat of a celebrity with us trainers and we would constantly talk about his strange antics, always referring to him as "Larry David." It would be the most exciting thing we did every day- watching him make a fool of himself.

Gyminee Blog : Gym Sins

Ive got a bunch: -I hate it when people put chalk all over themselves and then use the equipment. Everything is chalky for days. -The guys that come in, pick up 5 pound dumbells and procede to chat about random things with each other for 30 minutes while doing curls right next to my bench. -In the middle of lifting, and someone comes and borrows a plate off the racks. Wait until im done with my set! -When 5 guys try to share a machine and they just stand around and never accomplish anything except getting in the way. -The old men that constantly try to help me with my form but obviously cant do it himself. Especially when I have good technique.
