My suggestion is to move to Forum discussion with subject areas or a message board that you can track. I can't even find some of my own threads. You would think that when I go into my name and see what I have posted I would be able to click on the thread and take me to it. Not to the entire Vent section or to the home page. Plus I have to load replies over and over. We NEED a NEW FORMAT!
I like Newt, but I would rather see him hold a cabinet position for our next president or economic advisor where he would have more room to actually work on what he is best at, the economy. My first choice would be that senator that proposed the alternative budget, then Romni and then Palin.
WHAT? He is a very big part, if not the core, of Clinton's balanced budget and the last person I am aware of that truely identified a power in the legislative branch that didn't cower to the executive branch. Without Newt the Clinton era would have looked much more like this Obama nightmare.

Even though the Republicans didn't hurt us as BAD as this Democratic onslaught you are correct and so is Glenn that the agenda of the Repubs wasn't much different, just not as noticeable. But these Tea Parties are for EVERY politician to realize just how many American values are being stepped on or ignored and that we are ready to lead and for the Government to WORK FOR US!
So after hearing the President's speech in France this morning every American should realize that his agenda is to reduce the our standard of living thru GREEN initiatives so that poor third world nations are the same as us. What do I mean? Our forefathers, grandfathers and fathers busted their butt to make a better America for us. Now the great liar tells the french that "our" carbon footprint must be reduced so countries like India can continue to grow at 9% annually. It sounds great....but it is not doable unless you REDUCE the standard of living for every American and our future generations.
One reason our economics are so tough right now, America's industrial base has been squeezed out since the 60's and now we really don't have a true "industrial" base. Steel, pharmaceutical, glass, natural resource production.....all of it reduced to a mere memory and our economy and industrial jobs relies heavily on one industry. The vehicles. Put American's back to work by reducing the business killing regulations and the reducing the ability for the courts to justify it. Lower our standard of living? It needs to END!
I was taught this in high shcool. A presidential canidate must be judged by the people on his campaign and on his team. The lack of leadership showed straight thru and the American voters didn't care. The ideology pressuring machine was being built, and American's are still waivering. He spends more money in 2 months, hires more tax cheats, attorney's that hate the US and an attorney general that calls us cowards, and yet the mass media is in love with him! The tea parties must be huge and constitutional autrocities must be taken from us to the masses. Why aren't we marching on Washington like the mob that marched on the AIG executives? No union to mount the masses? Bottomline, I was sick everytime Clinton spoke during his tenure, this guy makes me utterly embarrassed that the majority were so brainwashed as to vote for the untested, inexperienced and RADICALLY Left American hater!
Did anyone catch the Hyundi CEO this morning. He is and states many companies think that higher gas taxes are required to "encourage" Americans to buy small cars. This is to lower our dependency on foriegn oil. I agree we need to do this, but WHY AREN'T WE DRILLING OUR OWN OIL!!!???? Instead we are removing millions of acres of resources from the table with all this Omnibus Land Bills and proposed wilderness bills. Get to the ANWR, to the public land in the west and to our off shore!!!! Don't control me by your taxes!
912ers need to be made aware of yet another socialistic making move that our great leaders our working on. It is the unprecedented land grab bills that are flying thru under the radar. S22 didn't pass the house so they brought it back and got it passed attached to another bill. All of this with absolutely NO COMMITTEE's. Us that live in the West cannot afford for the government to keep making this large block land closures and America doesn't want it. Unless of course you support the UN Wildlands Project Initiative and the systemic destruction of our natural resources thru disease, fire and unhealthy practices. HB 308 is yet another bill that needs to be defeated for all our good.
Mike this is the story of the typical American. I have been involved with three non-profits the past 8 years to inform, educate on how to get involved and be active in agency processes across the United States. The sad fact.....we couldn't keep the numbers up enough to hire one person to do the job. Why? Complancency, laziness, indifference, call it what you want but it gets very, very fustrating. I was really hoping that the 912 project, the hideous legislation that our congressional leaders have been passing would get the majority to stand up and be heard.
