Last time around, Rush had 'Operation Chaos' to keep Hillary in the race as long as possible. Makes sense that Michael Moore would steal an idea, as his philosophy revolves around stealing in general.

Big Government : Et Tu, Beck? - Part III: Erratic Multimedia Star Pulls Race Card Again

I get that Newt is a government solutions kind of guy. It is obvious. But someone explain to me how Newt=Obama. I just don't see it. Another point - are "true conservatives" really what we should be pulling for? How about true INDIVIDUALISTS. I'd rather a candidate base decisions on reason and logic than fire and brimstone.

Big Government : NOT GUILTY!…SEIU Thugs Cleared in Brutal Gladney Beatdown!…Update: Gladney Reaction (Video)

Why does Gladney now wear a neck brace? he seemed fine in the vid. Literally curious as to what happened. NC doesn't have alot of this union presence......maybe cuz they wouldn't stand a chance if they started sh*t at a Tea party event here.

Big Government : Constitutional Conservatism Is Ready for Prime Time

GaltFan? Wouldn't that make you an Objectivist? I like 'Individualist'. It sums up individual rights and liberty with out the baggage associated with party names, labels and imperfect politicians. I believe the epiphany that was/is America is Individualism, as opposed to any form of collectivism.

Seriously. What is wrong with Ron Paul for President in the eyes of conservatives? He was a Tea Party Patriot before that term even existed. Bolton? I'm not too sure about him for Prez, but for Defense Secretary he is a shoe in. Paul/Daniels...Daniels/Paul........I'd vote for that ticket.

Big Government : America's Foundational Creed: Anti-authority

"The only proper purpose of a government is to protect man’s rights, which means: to protect him from physical violence. A proper government is only a policeman, acting as an agent of man’s self-defense, and, as such, may resort to force only against those who start the use of force. The only proper functions of a government are: the police, to protect you from criminals; the army, to protect you from foreign invaders; and the courts, to protect your property and contracts from breach or fraud by others, to settle disputes by rational rules, according to objective law. But a government that initiates the employment of force against men who had forced no one, the employment of armed compulsion against disarmed victims, is a nightmare infernal machine designed to annihilate morality: such a government reverses its only moral purpose and switches from the role of protector to the role of man’s deadliest enemy, from the role of policeman to the role of a criminal vested with the right to the wielding of violence against victims deprived of the right of self-defense. Such a government substitutes for morality the following rule of social conduct: you may do whatever you please to your neighbor, provided your gang is bigger than his." John Galt, Atlas Shrugged (Ayn Rand)

Big Hollywood : TV Watchdog Calls for Child Porn Probe of MTV Series 'Skins'

well, unfortunately, now that there is all this hype around the show, a lot more kids are going to want to watch it. The collective parent organization stated "You can't watch this because it is bad" and that just fuels the urge to watch it even more.

Big Government : Combatting an Arrogant China with Economic Growth

No disrespect, but emergency social backstops, infrastructure, and a level playing field are not constitutional requirements. The introduction of those areas of government control have lead to the bloated overreaching we see today. It's a slippery slope. Emergency social back stops turn into full out welfare. Social back stops and the like have no business in a free, capitalist, individualist society. Past presidents have nixed infrastructure projects as well, citing no authority in the constitution. Defense/Security, protection of individual rights - now we're talking.

Big Government : Breaking: Democrats Plotted to Blame Tea Party for Slaughter

Actually, I disagree. Follow a few steps to respect citizens' individual rights and you can use all the technology you want. It's called a warrant, and it's utility can be updated just as well as the threats using technology and creative solutions for slow warrant processes. Additionally, you make the military/police technology top notch and use it when warranted (pun intended). If the Patriot Act (or things like it) is what we need to fight fire with fire, as you suggest, then why didn't it get in the way of Jared Loughner? Things like that don't make us any safer, they imprison us. Likewise, we'd all be a lot safer from terrorists if we were locked in cells and monitored 24/7. That doesn't sit with me too well, though. I bet others feel the same. I'll take the risk for the freedom, instead of zero risk and zero freedom.

Big Government : In Defense of Inflamed Rhetoric

Yeah, from Slate?! They will be more and more reasonable as people point out his love of the Communist Manifesto and the like. At first it's all "Blame the vitriol and right-wing rhetoric!" "Umm he seems to be a nutty conflicted leftist that listed the CM as a favorite book" "Well don't blame the rhetoric then, and don;t mind the influences. Let's be reasonable here."

The Constitution is "outdated" like 2+2=4 is outdated. Individual rights and liberty as a moral conclusion doesn't just go out of fashion. A document that enshrines those principles is just as relevant today or 2000 years from now. Being against the Patriot Act is hardly sticking your head in the ground...actually, it seems to me to be exactly the opposite. I respect that"outdated document" primarily because I respect my own life. I am against the Patriot Act for the same reason.

Actually I lost my job several weeks ago, so right now I am a slave to know one, save my wife:) And you are correct, it is better to be alive and free, but "end them all" doesn't sound like self-defense and gives too much firepower to the low lives that would like to place arizona shooting blame on 'right wing radicals'.

Just in general, this is a big story. I'm aware of the paper trails (or lack of them) and the implications of ownership or fraud. I'm just hoping this story isn't lost among all the Arizona hysteria so people can actually pay attention to what's going on with the banks' cases and be aware of possible fall out. If people who've paid off their mortgages entirely are being foreclosed on, imagine all the other fraudulent mistakes being made. I'm just saying....let's not get tunnel vision.

Hey BigGov? Can we see some articles on the Bank Foreclosure decisions being handled in State Supreme Courts, like Massachusetts and New Jersey? I know Arizona Shooting is the hot item, but there is still other worthy issues to inform people about. Foreclosure cases could be huge mess regarding proof of ownership and illegal foreclosure sales. Big bank trouble. Thanks.
