Road Blogging Route 66 and Life on a Harley-Davidson : WE BELIEVE...

So I've probably deleted more comments than I've approved on this post. If you don't like it, then my take is just to fuck off. I'm not here to speak for you, or rugged individuality, or the Motor Company itself. This is just my blog --- to me, its years of memories and some of what I've put into it is deeply personal. If you like it fine, if you don't like it then you have the right to go start go fire a blog up yourself. I just like the message itself --- and I believe in all those things; the overall message speaks to me. If you want to debate the message, go to youtube and debate it there. Or better yet, I'll give you my address if you're not an idiot; we'll crack a beer in my garage and debate it face to face. Like debates should be. We may end up being friends, who the fuck knows.

that\\\'s be way interesting. I guided a tour a few years back where we rode the whole route and took a captain replica --- we ran it out of gas a couple of times. it doesn\\\'t take much. Good call on then came Bronson. I have all the episodes on my computer.... I should upload em. Fun to watch how it was back in the day.

Road Blogging Route 66 and Life on a Harley-Davidson : Easy Rider and the Jail in Taos New Mexico

Hey Jeff! Yah bro, I remember you! I think everyone wants to believe this is the cell from Easy Rider, and I hear your theory, but I dunno that I can buy into it. A) the bones of the building still don't line up; B) the bars are completely different. Why would the jail builders of a tiny town (at the time) have completely different bars made? I ain't buying it. I've hit up the local historical agencies over the years and they've never answered. A fun problem...

Good call. The film isn\\\'t in sequence to the roads. It was a film, so they came in to any sequence from the best shot. The film crew came in from the north of morganza, but in Easy Rider they came in from the south.
