That may have been a bad example. Perhaps OJ and his career. Or that pistorius guy from the paralympics that killed his wife? my point was just that regardless of what crime they did, it doesn't change their sporting accolades. I can still watch a benoit match without having to think about what he did, because i watch it for what it is and what it was.
I assumed when you said benoit supporters, you were referring to his career being abolished completely, when im not sure thats right in the name of the history of the sport. I guess that depends what side of the fence you are on regarding whether or not what he did was intentional or caused by adverse brain issues. But given the way wwe has gone since benoit and eddie passed, as well as numerous others, and how seriously they've recently taken concussions, one would assume that wwe feel it was due to head trauma, and not the person. But as i said, we will probably never know for sure.

Plenty of soccer personalities consistently cheat on their wives, as well as other crimes, but that doesn't suddenly make them bad at soccer does it?
The brain being as complex as it is, no-one truley nows what someone else is thinking. Due to the trauma benoit had with his, its likely he wasn't thinking straight, but he could have known exactly what he was doing, but we will never know for sure. No-one can really support his actions, but equally, no-one can deny his wrestling ability.

The wrestlemania match is solely to highlight the pinnacle of his wrestling career, its not celebrating the double murder later in life, its a pure wrestling fact. If you can't seperate the 2, that is your problem. Sometimes things are going to offend you, get used to it, brush it off and move on.

The same as other shave argued in other points, being evil doesn't mean you werent good at some things. He shouldn't be as celebrated as others, but to say he was a bad wrestler for what he did, is completely incorrect.

Where as now, you have Cena with Punk being probably the only guy near to the same level, and honestly, i do not watch any of cena's entire matches, i tend to just watch the ending, for 2 main reasons. the first being that his character isn't aimed at me, and therefore doesn't appeal. But the other is purely because you generally tell that he's going to retain, especially this soon after Mania. The last match i watched the whole lot of was his match with Punk on raw when punk hit a piledriver.
The problem there is that i think there are too many occasions when its an obvious cena win. Ryback wasn't going to win at the last 2 ppv's, and i didn't expect the match quality to be anything brilliant. No disrespect for what they do, but it doesn't appeal, so i don't watch.
In the 90s, whether you were a nation guy, a dx guy a ministry guy..whatever...everyone was watching that main event.
I wouldn't be suprised if there are others who don't watch the main event's. From going to a smackdown taping, i also realised how many people literally go to see just Cena and no-one else, which quite frankly, was disheartening for the business and product as a whole.
