When I heard Obama's snide, condescending comments today about how "the other side wants to drill, then drill some more, then drill some more" I couldn't have been more angry. This ignorant fool has the nerve to laugh at us when we demand a real solution to a real problem. I was even more angry when the audience cheered. What bizarro world are we living in where our chosen leader laughs at us and we applaud him? How much more are we going to tolerate from this piece of human garbage? What will it take for the rest of this country to wake up to the destruction of our nation that's compounding with each breath this man takes? Um, you realize that we've been screaming for oil independence since the Embargo in the 70's, right? This is a fight that's been brewing for 40 years, not 4. Your defeatist argument that "it takes too long so it's not worth the effort" is the problem, not the timeframe itself. That along with environmental nutcases, politicians who are happy to appease them and a government hostile to corporations. If we had intellectual honesty about what the issue is and the testicular fortitude to correct the situation, we would be better for it.
