/Film : First Look: Josh Brolin as Jonah Hex

It does look pretty toned down but "in costume" is not the same as "in character". I wouldn't make too hasty a judgment based on these pictures alone.

I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around this movie. I guess I hope it doesn't resemble Fantasia at all, having such fond memories of it.

I thought the first two were clever. I didn't see the third one, the previews reeked of desperation. This one sounds alright, I'll probably catch it on DVD.

I do want to see this movie. I wish I'd read the comments before I watched the trailer. I hate it when they show that much of the plot in the trailer. The people that make trailers seem to completely misunderstand their purpose.

I grew up with the Pink Panther movies. Peter Sellers was so wonderful. I understand Steve Martin wanting to pay tribute but he is completely wrong as Clouseau. I wish Steve Martin would do more things like Shopgirl or The Spanish Prisoner. I love him in those movies.

/Film : Laika Animation in Limbo While Coraline Box Office is Awaited

I hope this movie does well and Laika survives. I read the book and was so excited to hear that they were making a movie of it and it looks wonderful. I don't watch much TV so I don't know if there have been many previews shown but whenever I mention the movie people just look at me quizzically. Hardly anybody I know has heard of it. Anyway, going to see it in Seattle next week with my sister (who also read the book but did not know about the movie). It will be difficult to wait that long.
