This is undeniable. Since human health is among the highest of Judaism's goals, it would seem to be in the interest of Judaism to ban the eating of mammal flesh, given modern scientific knowledge. It would also decrease global warming & increase the food supply to the hungry. There is nothing wrong with arguing both that Judaism should discourage the eating of mammal flesh & that it is wrong to prohibit religious methods of slaughter in use for thousands of years. In fact, there was a rabbi who wrote recently about this topic. He said he did not see much of a difference in cruelty (neither do I by the by) between the methods, but also said he was giving up everything but chicken & fish pretty much. I think that's a most moral approach.
