Longmont Times-Call : Encana files application for new drilling in Erie - Longmont Times-Call

This subject has made Erie politics a joke. The BOT is being forced to humor a handful of whining residents(?) who are drowning in the anti-fracking and anti-O&G Kool-aid. One of them even interviewed an Encana employee this week and secretly A/V recorded the meeting. Nothing unethical about that, is there? How about posting it on the internet, which he did? Ironically, these same people drive their cars and use O&G products every day. Now they think that just because they have an opinion, it somehow obligates others to act upon it. The Erie BOT may have an obligation to listen to the residents of Erie, but that doesn’t mean they have to act upon the ignorance of the vocal minority.
