Clash of the Titans: Looks visually stunning, has the action. Sam Worthington is bad-ass. Could be coolio. The Green Zone: Saw trailers for this during Men with Goats. Bad-ass What am I missing. Oh yeah! The one that will probs be my favorite of the group. LEAP YEAR! And it's a rom-com? Weird! For those who don't know, Rom-coms are my absolute mash! Brabs how can you say we wouldn't see this with you?! Well I can't speak for everyone, but I'll go by myself if I have to! Love the red heads. My only complaint is that I'm tired of U.K. guys stealing our women. Sad...

Salt: Not a fan of Jolie but the action and suspence are there and Schreiber is the man so count me in. The Slammin Solomon: I was just thinkin the other day when Beerfest was on, when is the next Broken Lizard flick coming out! Boom. Looks like there gonna do it again. Super Bad and Beerfest rank as some of my fav. comedies. Hell I even enjoyed Club Dread. Can't wait for the guys to do it again! Kick-Ass: SO FUCKIN STOKED! Has a kind of All-Stars look to it except way grittier. Great opening suicide scene! Extraordinary Measures: Love the cast (Keri Russell is defs a star crush). And I got chills half way through the trailer.

THE MOVIE MASH : MOVIE MASH POLL: Who Should/Could Replace Christopher Nolan?

Fuck new moon... having said that, yes NO ONE could effectively replace Nolan. Having said this, my choice would rely on the the theme of this proposed new Batman. I'm obiviously hoping for the Riddler which can go one of two ways in my opinion. 1) The movie is a mystery movie filled with murder, intrigue, and the question on everybodies' mind is this, "WHO IS BATMAN?" 2) The movie has a slightly lighter tone than the aforementioned scenario and instead relies on more action i.e. Bank robberies, hostages, etc I'm hopin for scenario 1, in which case Fincher is my mash. Seven is just the sort of style I want this movie to take. I also love the way he gets into the mind of his characters, both pro- and antagonists. I would love a flick that delves into the mind of the Riddler. But for scenario two, Mann has it all the way. He's proven that he can plan and choreograph superb and suspensful action scenes (armored car heist HEAT, stand-off shoot out MIAMI VICE) and that's what this scenario entails. He's also no slouch when it comes to writing suspensful screenplays.

THE MOVIE MASH : WB "Reportedly" Announcing 'Batman 3'/Christopher Nolan Plans in January

I honestly couldn't imagine this Batman trilogy without Nolan. No more goofy batmobiles, no stupid dialogue, and most importantly, no Nipples on the batsuit! (Fuck you Schumacher). But i think there is a big question left unanswered in Gotham. Who's batman. Well one deranged accountant knows and i feel he's got a bigger role to play in the battle for Gotham's soul and I feel Nolan won't leave a loose end like that. I've faith for the future, and faith in Nolan. Don't let me down bro! Oh and welcome back idiot!

Well the thing to remember is that this was Will's big break into Hollywood. He basically sold his soul to the devil to land himself in this role. Well the Devil's callin back. Either he does it, or the Satan eats his soul...

THE MOVIE MASH : Trailer Trash MASH, Disney 3D Edition: Alice In Wonderland & Tron Legacy

I see what you mean, the Hatter does look like the male lead which, if it were the case, would be a lil odd. But hey, J Depp, sells tickets and draws crowds. Playin it off like he'll be the main character will draw more people to come see the movie. But if they pull a fast one and make him minor, like the HATTER IS, then that would be sweet! Tron looks great too. I'll be honest, i've never seen the original Tron (on my to-do-list) but this movie looks very dark. The way he ices that guy at the end o the trailer... Good for Disney to put out these new, more adult themed, adventure flicks.

I will never dispute Reynolds screen appeal. Ryan Reynolds is one of my favorite people to see on screen. I watch his movies just to see him on screen, ESPECIALLY my favorite genres, Rom Coms! But he IS a one track actor, regardless of the appeal. He plays himself in every role he's ever taken. BUT as he is such a compellin individual, this isn't a bad thing. PS the Jacket will never die!

While the part at the Burrow was a lil superfluous, it did succeed in showing the audience that which Harry had been dreading all along, and his reasons for deciding not to come back to Hogwarts for his seventh year. The moment shows that Harry's loved ones and friends will always be in danger as long as Harry's with them.

Great post however I have to disagree with you on the attempt to stay faithful to the video games. That's a load of shit. Those movies would have been great had they followed the already great plots of those games (excluding Doom, it's a piece of shit regardless). Video games such as Resident Evil, Max Payne, hell even Street Fighter, had great plots and backstories that, had they been followed faithfully would have made excellent flicks. Besides Silent Hill, (which miraculously got it right), Hollywood's attempt to make VG adaptations more appealing to larger demographics have doomed the film from the onset.

And once again i'll state that i loved this movie. I saw it again last night and thought it was better the second time. the only grievance i have is that it didn't inevitabily end in an action sequence, say a wizard shoot out/ chase scene. Under the circumstances I'd say that's not hopin for too much. That's just a good ending to an otherwise methodical and dialogue-progressed flick. I mean am I right =P

THE MOVIE MASH : This Is Why Christian Bale Rules, Going All "Machinist" For His Next Role

Well put. Our generation has been subjected to some of the best actors/actresses in the history of film making. Leo, Bale, Winslett, Oldman; all great actors who dedicate themselves wholly to their craft. While some may cite some of the greats like Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant, and James Dean, these actors were soley type-casted actors, brought in to fill a role, a niche that they fit so perfectly well. While that isn't necessarily their faults, it still goes with out saying that in the last decade alone, Hollywood has seen a myriad of great productions, frought with creative and compelling writing, directing, producing, and of course, acting. Good piece Brabs!

i'm sorry Jordan. You had many good points, unfortunately I can't take the post seriously. You called the Fourth movie, Goblet of Fire, spectacular (maybe outta context), but that movie was a complete and utter waste of film. The dialogue was forced and awkward, the scene transitions and plot development were lightning fast, thus leaving out important details, and to top things off, Ron and Harry looked like a hideous pair of chuds. Please defend if you feel the need, but I just had to take a shot at the complete piece of GARBAGE entitled Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. While a staunch Harry Potter book fan, I agree with Travis. This film was great. The only piece missing was an epic chase/spell shoot out at the end as the infiltrating Death Eaters retreated after Dumbledore's execution.
