KOAA 5/30 News First : Gov. Jindal Vetoes Legislative Pay Raise

That very well may be true, but regardless of his motivation, it was vetoed. Maybe this is just proof that Louisiana's voters need to voice their opinion more often. The passion that voters showed over the last few days was an amazing expression - and how appropriate as we are about to celebrate Independence Day! Yes, I would have had even more respect for him had he immediately said he would veto the bill, but he didn't, and now, I'm sure he's learned his lesson...or so I hope....

You are probably correct, but they need to feel wrath of Louisiana's voters. When the "good ole boys" try to push Jindal around, we need to stand behind him and push back! Since it is obvious that he (Jindal) will listen, he might just be our chance to turn Louisiana politics around...this was one small step but certainly one in the right direction....

Yes, he is a politician, but the difference between him and the rest, is HE ACTED on this issue. It is up to Louisiana to speak up. They did, and he responded. Better late than never.....
