EnlightenYourDay.com : Poetry Spotlight on Jorge Luis Borges

I haven't read Borges, but your question makes me wonder...some connections are so profound, talking at a social level trivializes them...Some of the books I have read have really meant so much to me, and if I went up to the author and said 'Oh, I so love your books' like any other groupie, and they said 'thanks' it feels like it might bring it all down a notch. All too human in a way. So that's my theory on why he didn't speak! Lisa

EnlightenYourDay.com : The Author

Jonathan, this is beautiful! I can relate to the comment about when you were young, and your naturally meditative moments, "Like something I needed to do without knowing it." That little bit of longing, and yet (as you talked about later), trying to find that feeling right here right now also.

EnlightenYourDay.com : A debate on the most important questions in life???

Ha ha, well this certainly is interesting! I have to say I started out very intellectual/philosophical in my twenties, and my original pull to spirituality was along those lines. But I've moved away from that, because 1) I don't really trust my rational mind anymore and 2) Life is more fun without all the pondering. So I'm more about moments and experience now.
