Stop for a minute and think of the thousands of people that lost their life in the tsunami and then organize your own beach clean up!! Good grief. Many high school students take classes at the college throughout the day, traveling back and forth. This incorrect statement unnecessarily causes concern amongst many parents. The college was in lockdown during the same time as the high school.

I agree - I am sickened that KATU gave this man exactly what he wants - more publicity. Posting the letters on this website is disgusting. I did not read them - nor do I care at all what they say. Spend more time telling us about the victims. I have read nothing about the man killed in California. Even if KATU does not pay these murderers a dime - if they decide to give them an interview, I will never again watch their station or visit this website - appauling.

This is just gross. Are they even trying to keep their home clean? According to this video - no. Why is the news even giving this family attention? Seems these people want handouts. He did come across very mild mannered in his daily interactions...seemed very genuine and nice. I think his "louder than life persona" was something he used in his work - if I hadn't watched his show, I might not have thought as much of his passing...but now I just feel sad. I think I have heard him say on the show that him and "Sully" (Anthony Sullivan) have known each other for a very long time...I am sad for his friends too.

My kids and I have been watching the Pitchmen series, and I have really grown fond of Billy Mays....he comes across as a kind family man. A recent episode showed him with his father, and son....so sad now. He also has a young daughter so this just breaks my heart....if you haven't seen the show - go set your DVR's now - it is really worth watching.

"Post water temperature sensors and displays..." What a ridiculous and wasteful idea. I agree that people need to take some responsibility for themselves when venturing into the waters. That being said, this is still a tragedy and my sympathies to the family.
