I found out after working many years that several of my co-workers were lesbians. My world did not end. Neither did theirs. We remained the good friends we had been for years. I have my master's in science. CO2 in the atmosphere helps trap the heat. It along with water vapor acts just like glass in a greenhouse. As the sunlight travels through it toward the earh, the wave length is changed. Then, after hitting the earth's surace and being "bounced" back into space, it cannot travel through the layer of CO2 and water vapor. This is exactly what happens in a greenhouse or your car.
