I agree that big money, special interests need to stay out of politics. However, claiming that Soros primarily spends his money on get-out-the-vote campaigns is somewhere between a vast understatement and a complete lie. His donations don't add to up to what the Koch brothers spend but he is playing their game on a slightly smaller scale but from the other side. Well, maybe those who are impacted by this should hire a private company to mitigate the fire danger to their private property instead of asking me and the other tax-payers to chip in and then make demands about how fast things are done. No, taking personal responsibility to protect their own property is probably far too much to ask.
