oh i got ripped off like something you wouldn't even imagine. I had a few games, a wireless controller and my xbox with the hard drive, I still came out of pocket some 150+ dollars including MLB 09... and I couldn't have been happier. i've been 100% satisfied with my PS3 and then some...and knowing that every year I can play a good baseball game is priceless. notice i said GOOD - I will settle for GOOD just so happens that MLB is GREAT...2k sports can't even do just a "good" baseball game...i couldn't take it anymore.

I said MLB THE SHOW was bullshit? click my name and go through my messages and find that... in fact, I even said that if 2k9 gets their gameplay down, they'd have the better game. and they didn't do that. and for the record, I've played every baseball game since atari 7800, even the ones on PC like Hardball and High Heat, I was playing "THE SHOW" back when it was just MLB, the ones with Chipper Jones, Shawn green, Andruw Jones, Barry Bonds (the last game he appeared in if I'm not mistaken), Eric Chavez were on the covers.. and my gripes with the series have all been the same since I joined this site: The Player models need upgrading, their heads are too big and arms too little, new interface, and new announcers...outside of that this is, and always has been, a VERY good baseball series. 2k simply did things that are unimaginable, not only for a baseball game but for a video game franchise in general. Nobody expected a game to be THAT bad.

man...I've played every "THE SHOW" since it was just called "MLB"....this is a solid series and always has been... the ONLY thing they need to fix are the player models, and a new announcer team...outside of that, this game is perfect. easily the best baseball game i've ever seen and played.

Well, as some of you know, I came in here defending this game to no end, b/c of the initial "look" of it. Then 2k goes and does the unimaginable by not only screwing up practically EVERY aspect of the game, but DELETING features that have been in baseball games for over a decade. how do u flat out delete features that SELL games? Anyway, I bought my PS3 and am playing THE SHOW right now as i type - I just downloaded the KILLZONE 2 demo, and the MGS4 demo is downloading now... I just couldn't go another year w/o a baseball game...4 years was long enough.

Well that about sums it up...I still think the player models are goofy looking with their knubs for arms and watermelon sized heads...but these graphics are amazing, the gameplay looks solid - I've never played a franchise on this game, only RTTS - but I will have to switch that up this year... Now time to SHIT all over 2k for what they are doing to the consumer again this year...here is a list of reported problems in the game: - Franchise glitch - Problems with first basemen coming off the bag on routine plays to first - NO CREATE-A-PLAYER BATTING STANCE OPTION - CPU doesn't take strikes (as pasta already showed) - Quirky/Jerky animations - Pickoffs too easy - Clipping is excessive - FANS ARE NOT EXCITED OVER GAME SITUATIONS AS ADVERTISED ON THE BACK OF THE BOX!! ladies and gentlemen...It's possible that 2k has released a game that is LESS FUN than it's PREVIOUS title!!!! how in the FUCK is that possible!?!

Let's just be real: 2k sports are living off of the legendary NFL 2K5 and the reputation they built off of their dreamcast games...they've released a solid basketball game, but that's the only thing saving their hides. and everybody who posts about MLB 2k9 who has the game already, has little tidbits of info that just makes the game worse!!! The back of MLB 2k9's box even brags about the world series celebration, when in fact THERE ISN'T ONE AT ALL!!!

Hey Pasta, Sidewinder, Skiihawks...got any room over there on the bench for THE SHOW 09 fan club!?!? I've ran out of kool-aid and my mind is starting to clear up...what 2k sports has done is almost criminal to XBOX 360 owners this year. This will be the FOURTH year in a row that 2k baseball has put out a sub-par baseball product. It goes without saying that this game will be reviewed with about a 75% on average, and that's being generous...if this is the case, that means that since MLB 2k6 hit the XBOX 360 - it's users have had to deal with 70-75% rated games ALL FOUR YEARS!!! So when I see a video like this, I say that 2k deserves all the ridicule it gets...MLB 2k is now the NBA LIVE of baseball gaming...if the fans over at 2ksports.com were smart, they'd start up a petition.
