Big Hollywood : The Way You Wear Your Hat - Listen Up, Hollywood, It's Important

It's amazing to look at photographs of people in bread lines in the 30s. Even when they had no jobs, no money, and no hope, they still took the effort to look presentable. Now look at some of the rich liberals today, who have a habit of looking like they buy at the local thrift store. I believe we're living in a new dark age.

That would have at least been an interesting plot. It's a shame that Hollywood often ignores interesting angles in their stories in favor of boring ideology.

Big Hollywood : Russell Simmons: God Will Destroy Us If We Don't Follow Barack

Actually, you're right, it is a bad war movie...but I've never really thought of it as a war movie. It's set during a war, and has soldiers, but it doesn't feel like a war movie. It feels more like the Odyssey or the Aeneid than a regular war movie: it's a bunch of guys on a boat, hunting a monster, and having encounters with strange things along the way.

As a caption, may I suggest, "Why so socialist?" I once tripped over a modern art display at a museum. They'd put the darn thing in the middle of the hall, ostensibly to make us think about "space." All I could think of was strangling the artist.
