As a daughter of a LEGAL immigrant, I am offended at the backlash over this law. I know why my parents came here and I don't blame others for wanting to come to America. Politicians try to make this a racial issue, when it is not. I don't want ANYONE from ANYWHERE to enter the US illegally and sponge off already limited financial resources.

For example, there is an elementary school in the Phoenix area that has to hire 23 DIFFERENT language translators for school officials to communicate with students/parents/guardians, many of which are here illegally. Almost 90% of students enjoy a reduced fee or free lunch. This is just ONE school in middle class AZ.

WHO do you think pays for this? Certainly NOT the illegals themselves!

I agree . . . CUT government programs (aka PORK & FLUFF), CANCEL the remaining spendulus and STOP FURTHER SPENDING to balance the federal budget NOW!!!!!

I think it is hypocritical that I pass kiosks in the mall that sell what amounts to porn bumperstickers. The hysterical part is they keep them in a binder marked 18 yrs and older ONLY. Ha ha, my kids see them on the freeway anyway. How stupid is that, I'd rather buy a baby bib!

Nancy, haven't your learned by now the ACORN way would be to bus 100 folks to the mall and post them at the entrances to "convince" the patrons to see it "our" way.

Oh BlondieToo, he DOES acknowledge his black race, but ONLY when it suits HIM most!

I think the officer will go as a representative of the Cambridge Police Dept. Afterall, as a public servant he has to be politically correct whether he likes it or not. Besides, I would not put it past BO to make him regret not going!

I spent part of my childhood in the Chicago area. Just the other day I was trying to explain toll roads to my 11 yr old.
Mom, you mean you have to PAY to drive on the roads there. Yep . . .
