Mile Square View : Carmelo Garcia & version no. 3 of his lawsuit survives

Thank you Horsey, it was a simple question that really got under the skin of two people on here. Thanks for answering Agreed it's a shame the City and Current HHA are being dragged into this. The current commissioners are doing a great job, and seem to be doing without outside puppeteering. Watch the city $ettle....especially heading into an election year. $ettlements seem to be in this season.

Her insanity was just certified... again. I bet her rocket science husband is thinking she can still take from both old and new and win if the field is flooded. When she tried after Cammarano, her husband was public in his belief she could get Corzine Dems, (After Christie dismissed her ) a portion of Republicans, enough Old Hoboken and shave a bit of New to win that special election. Too bad she got crushed again. Why not take that money and do some good. like taking that money and moving out of town! She's such an asshole

Mile Square View : Councilwoman Tiffanie Fisher: Your voice needed on the 500 foot rule

I think it's important to review the zoning first, do we want to expand the CBD up to 14th street first , set where restaurants and the like should be expanded and then review the licensing. Currently one can't open a new restaurant ( where one doesn't exist ) above 5th street without a variance- whether it serves alcohol or byob. Review both zoning and ABC regs at the same time. I do appreciate Doyle and Giattino opening this discussion as we face increased competition. Even JC heights has now expanded a restaurant row right on Palisades Ave.

Mile Square View : 500 foot or less mayhem and the Sully follies

Asbury, Red Bank, Morristown and Jersey City do quite fine and have less clubs , more restaurants without strict 500 ft rule Morristown also has quite a large number of high end BYOB's. The fact they have MPAC which gets broadway and national tours and headline performers attracts more dining patrons than strictly partiers.

"If you want choice then pay extra for a plan that allows more choice. " Since I have private it's not an issue, but most single payers ONLY option is Obamacare. Not sure why you dont get that fact that NOT one plan allows you to cross state lines even the most expensive plans there are. The fact that it was various points along the way by Obama/ Christie/ Sweeney/ Stack and final legislation that caved to NJ providers who demanded only plans with NJ providers be offered in this state. You can be willing to pay 2000 a month for one person, there's simply no plan. And unless you're a union, trade group or traditonal employee, Obamacare NJ is the only option for some since Single payers and 1099 are now all automatically directed to healthcare.gov even if you make 400,000 a year, the private single plans that allow NY or PA doctors are nowhere to be found- on Obamacare

Actually that's not true. NJ's version of Obamacare does not require the "Insurance company " to allow regional providers . I am referring to that fact that NOT ONE Obamacare Insurer in NJ will allow a customer to see a Dr or go to a provider in NY State. However NY state will allow the reverse. This is because the politicians I originally mentioned cut deals wit lobbyists of New Jersey Hospitals, Unions and Doctors so they could keep the most possible business in the state NJ is one of the worst states to have Obamacare in because it's so small , not being allowed to cross the rivers to major specialty hospitals is a real problem. Most Politicians and government employees aren't prioritizing this because they themselves have Gold Benefits and Obamacare/ or "Affordable Care " serves as a sound bite rather than a successful plan. Maybe if you're a young freelancer , grad student or self employed under 30 in perfect health Obamacare works but good luck if you get cancer and your closest network option is Meadowlands Hospital in Secaucus

How about getting the Dems and Republicans overhaul NJ's O-Care opt out clause that allows NJ residents inObamacare to cross NY and PA state lines to go to providers there?Right now a self insured individual on Obamacare in NJ is screwed if the want to go to Philly or NYC For example a NJ cancer patient can not find one single provider on Obamacare that will allow them to go to Sloan Kettering in NYC or a child with a bone disorder can't go to Jefferson in Philly. It's not because of Obama it's because pigs like Christie, Sweeney and Stack cut deals to help their union cronies, lobbyists, and healthcare PACS who turn out huge donations at election time. Norcross owns a piece of Copper health and he didn't want to see patients going to Philly over a mediocre facility in Camden that he is on the board of. If these are the most pressing issues in the assemblywoman's district, I think the area Mayor's must not be communicating with her enough. The stuff listed in the letter sounds like a council agenda in Mayberry. Obamacare sucks and the only folks praising it seem to be politicians that don't need it since they all have gold plans for life!

Mile Square View : Business Administrator Quentin Wiest resigns and Stephen Marks to step in

As much as I loved watching Liston put Mason in her place, Wiest was a calming force the months following Arch's departure and the sleazy antics of a short lived screwed up council majority when Mason Russo and Occhipinti took over and removed Bhalla and Marsh from the VP and Prez positions. Wiest never added fuel to the fire , rather he stayed calm and disarmed the crazies and the bad guys. Marks is a real pro and with institutional knowledge at many levels of government too, I wish him well.

Any real estate agents against parks out there are complete idiots and don't understand real estate and should hand in their licenses now. Thats what happens when the majority of agents in Hoboken hail from the outside Hoboken and don't care what's best for Hoboken A property near a park adds huge value. Smart agents and developers should love parks

This isn't a distort buddy this is a cut and paste from Lox's political post: " hear lots of officials, the wannabes and of course the bad guys. This year my wife said, there's a lot more of the good then the bad and ugly. She noticed that Carmelo guy is nowhere to be seen. Because he and a lot of that crew are gone and down in the dumps. Why must everything be about trashing politicians on this site, its a spaghetti dinner not a pep rally.
